At one point I had ALL my Chinese and Japanese Porcelain on angelfire.com - They changed policies and now all my photos are gone -----all 232 of them 🙁
I wonder if there are websites to host pictures of our collections.

Do you happen to have the old URL for your Angelfire page? Perhaps saved as a bookmark?
If so, there's a chance your photos can be recovered. It's a small chance, but nevertheless worth a try.

Incidentally, in case other members lost photos on now-defunct websites, the tool I was going to suggest is https://archive.org/web/
It lets you navigate back in time to older versions of websites. As long as the photos weren't behind a membership paywall, they can usually be recovered.
I'm a new member, however, I've been collecting for 50 years. Is it possible to see some of the collections of other members?
My personal interest is Chinese and Japanese porcelain. I'm retired in Atlanta and formerly lived in Japan, The Philippines and Belgium mostly in the 70s.

I like some Chinese pieces, but my favorites are usually out of my price range. The big floor vase is Chinese, but contemporary.
I really like the Korean celadon vase. It is 20th century and marked, but I cant read it.
I also like your Korean vase. I think all the celadon pieces I've seen are judged by the color. A Chinese dealer in Tokyo in about 1974 told me that he always carried a shard of the perfect color - so that when he found a celadon he would know if it matched the perfect color!

Great video, Russell, thanks for sharing. Can you tell us anything about the meiping (on the left) at 1:05? It's a unique shape, similar to one I have.
The meiping is Japanese with a double gourd mark incised to the base. Late Meiji to early Showa period. It was in the Strong National Museum of Play collection in New York before they deaccessioned their decorative arts.

May I make a suggestion? I think it would be good to have one picture taken from a very flat, straight-ahead angle. (The pictures there now seem taken from slightly above the center of the vase.) This might better show off it's shape.

I think you are correct. I added a new lead picture.
