It’s not a museum. Any dupe can buy a domain and then post 30 fakes of his collection and call it a museum. The problem is people are falling into the trap and begin to judge Chinese porcelain by these hilarious examples.
Dear John, now that Giovanni mentioned it, being a non-english speaker too, I simply cannot understand most of your posts. Is it because you use some kind of dictation app?

I am not upset, I just say that I don’t understand people who thinks that it is not possible that others know more than they know. One should always have the doubt of the possibility, IMO.
I understand your point of view about my postings, but be sure that it is not as you are seeing it. It is because it seems impossible, to whom is not knowing something, that others are stating things that they do not know. I too have passed through that process, of course, as anyone. Nobody born expert.
Be sure, dear John, that I am not the person that just states his believing as a kind of imposition. I joined this forum recently, and seeing that there are many members who are going to approaching/learn in this field, I simply felt about sharing what I know, which is much far from knowing everything. Things are, that members are many, and the questions are many times almost the same. So one can’t say, for example, “this is not Song dynasty” and explain in deep why. I know that it is not Song and in most cases I just say it, but be sure that if you ask me why, I can explain it. (Note below)
Then please do not see me as somebody who is here just to say “this” and “that” and that’s it. If you can’t believe that one can judge if something is of the period or not only through a picture, without a close inspection of glaze, paste, etc, just ask.
Note: Well, to be honest, I like to share, but not really everything. We are in a Public forum and the fake industry has eyes everywhere. I am even suspicious, regarding this point, to some recent posts.

besides the lack of skill, what luckily is in most of the cases revealing the hand of the faker is the fact that, perhaps due to low culture, he is not sticking on the subject, he can’t resist to the impulse of “gilding the lily” as is said, i.e. the necessity of making the thing more attractive.
Luckily, that is more attractive to him and to whom has not enough knowledge.
Look, as a perfect example, how hilarious is the face expression that the painter gave to this guy while he is reading a book.
That make me laugh for ten minutes.

it is as said by Esasianart, the NPM collection is the top, it is the collection amassed by the Court along the Story.
But take care, you will never find something similar. At least, I hope to never find something of that level, or of the level of the pieces of the Percival David collection at a flea market, becasue I would easily pass it. Too much different from the the pieces that can be found.

a really great piece. Were I live most here think Chinese art and porcelain is not worth
much. So I keep looking I miss a couple piece because I didn't know at the time what I
was look at so I keep learning and looking. John
