To start with I only owned one piece that I posted here before these. I don’t ignore no one opinions I take them very seriously it was Mark opinion
on a ginger jar that led me to where it was made. He got the painting style
wrong he thought it was transferred printing when it was raised enamel. I take
what you seriously I believe you have a lot of experience to pass on but that
doesn’t mean you’re always right. I never stated the my cinnabar piece was carved. Met. Museum has a Qinglong cinnabar snuff bottle that molded porcelain
I now no the maker of in side painting Great Wall of China I am researching.
The cloisonné piece I will stand by. John

Every body makes mistakes. It's a learning process as collectors/dealers. It's the price you pay for admission to the club. Even the big auction houses make mistakes.
These are opinions. Nothing more based on images. There are no hidden agendas here. Just honest opinions that you may or may not agree with.
Sometimes members can be slightly aggressive in their thoughts. But this should not be taken to heart. Nothing untoward is intended or inferred.
I am the first one to put my hand up for mistakes made. Prior to joining this forum I only dealt with jades. Only after joining (I think about 2012) did I start to appreciate porcelain and bronze etc. It was only after reading, viewing and asking questions did I start to get a feeling for said items.

I am always afraid, when answering to you, of having not correctly understood your meaning because it is not always clear what you mean.
About your last message:
You are saying now that you only own one of these bottles, while in the opening post you said “I have one smoked crystal, one porcelain, one cinnabar, etc.”. Contrasting versions, but that is not important.
Just one question: why did you take badly my opinions about the bottles? I do not see any reason at all for that. Can you please be so kind to say why? Even more if the bottles are not yours. If a bottle is not what you think, why should you be angry toward who is telling you that it is not as you think? Normally, it is expected that a person in such conditions should verify if what has been told is right or wrong, and if right, he should be grateful of having learned something new, and not react badly. Normally.
You said that Mark was wrong in saying that a ginger jar was transfer printed, because the enamels are raised. I do not know if he was wrong or not, because I do not know to which ginger jar you are referring to, but for your knowledge, transfer printed enamels are most often raised, and they could be even more raised than those applied by brush. The single fact that they are raised is not enough for excluding that a decoration is transfer printed.
I fully agree that I am not always right, on the contrary, I am many times wrong as can happens to everybody. But before saying that, please verify with other competent people who, in the case of your bottles, have been wrong. You may find that it was not me.
“I never stated that my cinnabar piece was carved”: this, sorry to be blunt, is a total non-sense. Do you know what is meant by “cinnabar”? A lacquer bottle, or dish, or whatever made in lacquer can only be carved, not molded. In calling it cinnabar, as you are still doing, you are saying that it is carved. There are no other chances. If cinnabar, it is carved; if resin or whatever else, then it could be, as clearly is your bottle, molded.
Then it is simply not possible that the MET has a cinnabar bottle that is molded porcelain. It is not correct to describe it that way. If porcelain, the correct definition may be “molded porcelain bottle IMITATING cinnabar”.
As for the Great Wall bottle, believe it or not, it is not from an artist who make collectable bottles. It is not clear if you are saying that you know the maker or if you do not know him. “I now no the maker of in side painting Great Wall of China I am researching” is not clear to me.
If you know him, and is a well-known artist, then the signature is fake, as it happens many many times.
