I watched and enjoyed it too. There's likely an algorithm that recommends it to people who watch Peter's videos. I'm thinking he was in the game early and the minefield of fakes and forgers isn't what it is today but he spoke as someone with authority who no doubt handled lots of ceramics. I recall there was some controversy after his death with inheritance. I'll agree the sound mixing is frustrating.

The court case was very complex, due to how Sir Michael had divided the collection between his children, and ‘family’ problems between such ...
In the end the Judge ruled that the collection was to be divided equally between the four siblings and also applied a memorandum that no piece from the collection could be offered for sale for five years ...
I understand the division took several days to complete, with each sibling, accompanied by there legal representatives, selecting one piece at a time from the entire collection ...
The youngest daughter Katherine a collector/scholar in her own right, and the oldest son wished to keep the collection as a whole, so 50% is still together. The other two siblings have 25% each ...
A very sad state of affairs and, perhaps, a poignant lesson to all collectors in how one ultimately decides what should happen to ones collection ...

I ahve eben out of the site for a few days due to accessing problems.
I have all the books in which Mr. Butler has contributed as Author.
It is worth to remember that the catalogue of the whole collection is under preparation by the great Scholar Teresa Canepa, and surely it will be worth every penny!

Indeed a most anticipated publication, delayed due to the current pandemic, but now scheduled for launch November this year ...
I last talked to Katharine during Asian Art in London last November, the additional 12 month delay has enabled her, Teresa and a very good friend of mine in HK who is ‘overseeing the project’ and providing the Chinese translations, to collate a list of all known dated 17th-century pieces, both in public and private collections, which will be included within. This alone will, as you rightly say, make it ‘worth every penny’ ...

The book is not due until January 2022. Expect it will sell out fast and then be on the resellers market at a hefty premium. It can be pre-ordered via Amazon, I have placed mine.
