Basic Rules For the BidAmount Asian Art Forum: Talk about whatever you want. You can even discuss and offer things that are for sale if they are authentic. Maximum image file size per post is 2 MB. Images of 700pxl x 700pxl are optimal if saved at a medium resolution. Be respectful of others and enjoy yourself. Click the YouTube link for a brief tutorial on using the forum. You can also EMBED Videos by cutting and pasting from You-Tube, Vimeo etc.

@rahawkins thanks for your thoughts. Appreciate it. It really wasn’t going to be to ‘endorse dating’ but rather to thank and honor bidamount. But, I’ve already taken it out of my listing… thanks to everyone’s input.

I do this strictly for treasure hunting this forum helps get me the knowledge to spot a rare treasure my collection is mostly of found lose treasure at a very reduced price. I very rarely buy online unless I see something I just like or can make a profit. I wouldn’t want my name out there because treasure hunting is becoming very competitive and honey holes are harder to come bye my profile is tracked here because my competition knows I have a good eye and even though I might not be the most experienced a good eye is just about as valuable as knowledge but if you put the two together you will find priceless treasure. So I just don’t want to be tracked is what I’m saying.
It's a good thing to school new members, always. My above opinion was formed in this way for: I think same member, few days ago was looking for a ways how privately to contact other members. What's the intentions could be when contact privately? 🖐️
@lucky Several of us now communicate privately. We buy and sell to each other and occasionally share information and advice that sometimes would not be appropriate to do openly on the forum. We even develop friendships in some cases. It is a lovely extension of and bonus to the community this forum has become. John
@johnshoe Oh..I never did realized that this would be acceptable here, private communications between community members.
I would assume that should be messaging system at bid amount in order to communicate with each other, and probably should be separate forum for private/individual sales, as there are none of these...
I was confident that possibility to sell/buy items just trough bid amount sale page. My apologies, clearly I did misunderstood all information here...I didn't mean to offend anyone. Probably would be good idea to read T&C, but I guess none of us did that, as standard rules applies as anywhere else when it comes to forums...🤦♂️
A private messaging system would be nice. I have put my email address on the site a few times and it always worries me a bit.
@lucky the intention was to give them a piece of Japanese porcelain if they wanted it. Give them. Like FREE. Because they liked it and I only paid $12 for it. Once again, a pure motive. I’m doing this for enjoyment, not to become a millionaire, though that would be enjoyable.
@centralpapottery I accept that your motives are pure, but I do recall seeing an old Ebay listing saying something to the effect as verified by Bidamount, not by you and for all I know, they may have had permission and I don't know if they were a member or not, as I do not pay attention to who is selling what, but I do remember thinking it was problematic at the time. "There is nothing new under the sun," it has occurred before and I thank you for your question.
@imperialfinegems Dear Mark, I think your experience was truly horrible, sometimes it is true that no good deed goes unpunished, the world is full of all types of people and not all of them were Eagle Scouts and as we know human nature, not all Eagle Scouts are Eagle Scouts. 🤣
