There is a seller on eBay who seems to have some authentic Song/Yuan/Ming objects, with fair prices, but I lack certainty and would be very grateful if any of you could weigh in with your opinion(s). Here is the link to his store:

Thanks for any help!

You're going to need others to weigh in, but some of these look like they have been in the ocean. The prices are in line with that condition. I didn't look at the entire stock.
@rahawkins Thanks so much! Perhaps I should have narrowed down my question, as there is one piece that has my interest, and which looks authentic, but I'm not at all certain. If you or someone else could opine on this, I'd be very grateful:
hmmmm...i think it's new not Old.... but these are not in my area.
Also of concern is the seller doesn't accept returns!!
Mark
@imperialfinegems Thank you Mark! Your view certainly keeps my money safely away from him...
@imperialfinegems as always, ebay's accuracy guarantee overrides the no return policy. It's a buyer friendly site.
Ebay has backed me up once, but the listing was impeccably described, and I think they actually ate the loss for me.
Given a quick review of all items in the sellers eBay store it appears that most of the items are authentic and correctly described. And given seller’s location in Malaysia he would have an ability to obtain many of these from local markets and from shipwreck sales. Feedback seems mostly positive.
George
Thank you so much George! it's amazing how differing opinions exist here, and i very much appreciate yours! That's very interesting. You make very good points. do you think the Wanli piece (above) i am interested in is among the authentic pieces?
I’m glad I was able to help you. My comments were generally addressing all items in the seller’s store. As far as the Wanli plate you like, I like it also as blue and white deer designs are among my favorites, just as Peter loves horses.😀
However, there is still doubt in my mind regarding the age of the deer mainly due to the almost pristine condition of the foot rim and the plate overall. I would pass on this and continue your search.
George
Thank you so much George! Like you, the blue and white deer designs are among my favorites! i have one on my living room wall, but instead of just hanging the plate, we put it in a shadow box, chose a black background, and it looks great. I also noticed the newness of the rim and foot, and it gave me pause, but i was still unsure, so thank you very much!
May I recommend you consider this Ming Phoenix plate from Brian Page. He is a good seller that I have used in the past. Since we both seem to like similar items let me know if you like this one (I have one of these).
George
Hi George, first of all, that is quite interesting, because I bought a very similar plate from Matthew Page just a few months ago! Very good price...Thank you again for all of your help!
Here is the deer plate that I bought from C&C in late 2022...The original listing is say I'll up on eBay:
Apologize for the typo! I meant : "the original listing is STILL UP on eBay."
@gfhandel Thank you!....yes, and to me, the style is so similar to the plate on the eBay site above, that one wonders if it wasn't the same artisan/artist. i realize how copies abound, but i have found it difficult for the copyists to mimic faces, including animal faces, and also to copy style, such as the positioning of the legs etc...Nevertheless, I now have no intention of buying that plate unless i am more certain, which i'm not! So thanks again for helping me come to this decision...
