Hope it was not any member in this group bought that cup.
I don't know why you are posting this in a new thread because there are two threads on this, below in the 'your own items, on the market' category . and the consensus there was that this was genuine . Do you have any reason for thinking it's fake ?

Hi,
The bonhams email is real. All the experienced members agree it is real as well as peter (by including it to the newsletter), bonhams, IM chait and 2 well known british dealers.
What are your qualifications?
Hi,
You do not have to challenge my qualifications. My experience tells me this is a new copy and it is up to you to accept it or not. Ask the seller who bought this piece, probably not Chinese.
Ok thank you for your appreciation. But I'll stick with bonhams opinion.
And 1 bidder was from china and 2 were chinese from the US.
please be more specific, make comparisons, otherwise there is no weight to your argument
Why did you wait 1 hour after the auction ends to call it a fake? Almost seems like you are angry because you weren't the highest bidder.
Dear Scott,
I do not understand the meaning of the following: "Ask the seller who bought this piece, probably not Chinese."
What do you mean exactly?
Giovanni
LOL
Is this your way of answering to a legitimate question? Was my question disrespectful? I pretend more respect.
Giovanni
Hi Giovanni,
I think he said that chinese people know better than us.
May be dear Springmeier, but I would like to hear him, I don't think that it is the correct way to address to the others.
Giovanni
Hi All,
Sorry, I am kind of new in this forum and did not go through each section, thus, did not know there has been a thread on this topic in other section.
All I want to do is to raise a different opinion from all others and I feel it is not a good way to always follow others and love hearing good words.
Here are more specific:
1. The Longqian ware (Zhejinag province) used different earth, colorwisely are more browninsh or reddish, unlike those made from Jindezhen, whcih looks to be a more white, or or white-off, like this one. So this Stemp cup is not a Longqian cup.
2. The cup was not naturally carved, not smooth enough.
3. The foot rim was artificially intended to make it look old or unearthed by dirtying it
4. The porcelains made in Yuan or early Ming period were always shown some extents of iron oxiding signs on unglazed areas, and I am not see it on this piece.
There are plenty Yun-Ming longquan porcelains from prestigous surces online to compare and you will see the differences if you want.
Like it or not , I am not contiuning with this topic.
BTW, a collector emailed me about this listing and I said what I thought. He/She later posted this listing on a Chinese antique website for authenticity and it proved what I said.
Good luck and I am done with this topic.
Here are some pics of real longquan carvings and footings that should look like.
