@lotusblack see lot 196 in Auguttes catalogue (blue and white porcelain on cover), it features a cobalt blue color Peking glass, Republic period says with a Guangxu tribute mark.
@sharonp yah that seem to be a form they used a lot during the late Qing Republic period what sets the old ones from the new ones is the crizzle. I don't pay much attention to marks due to they were added, I'm not saying all marks were added but some were for sure. when you see athentic mark and period Peking you can spot the added ones pretty easily.
@lotusblack You still may want to see the results to gage what the Republic ones go for, not sure if this Paris house will post results, but if you sell it through the majors, I guess they will do the work. If a Republic one goes for big money then your piece will go for beaucoup grand l'argent.
Since Peter talked about Peking glass I wanted to share a write up of glass making. I have determined my vase to be Yongzheng period from the Imperial workshop. I will be getting more opinions on it soon. As I’m hoping it will be auctioned by a major.

@greeno107 it is very similar but later 18th century. It’s missing the characteristic of early 18th century glass works.
So I wanted to give clues on how to identify early glass from the later period examples. It’s very easy during the early period this is for Kangxi but mostly Yongzheng period they had issues in the glass workshop recipe and experience that diminished the quality of the glass. In this time period pieces will show bubbles, impurities pitting and glaze disease. As stated in the research journal. Later pieces the issues were resolved and the glass is clean impurity free no bubbles or pitting the glass is flawless and no glass diseased because the recipe is correct. This is how the experts tell the difference in the glass. Here are some closeups of my vase.
Just read that the Chinese started importing cobalt from Persia in the 14th century, the blue road. Now I have thorougly confused everyone after deleting previous post following the reading about the blue road, sorry.
Brian, I think yours is the real thing. Compare it to this one I picked up at a local antique mall a few years ago. It was very cheap, and I picked it up for the aesthetic value. It is thick-walled and heavy, but not as thick-walled as the real ones. Also, note the fat, flared neck, which I have never seen on a real one. Yours is much more perfectly spherical, and has that beautifully formed foot. All in all, your vase is much pleasing to the eye.
I am not sure how diagnostic bubbles are, as mine does have bubbles, both elongated ones near the surface, and round ones deeper in. Mine also has faint flow-lines on the surface near the base--seems to indicate it was blown into shape (maybe in a mold?), and was not ground into a spherical shape after blowing. In your research, have you found out if the real ones ground into shape? Does yours show any flow-lines on the surface?
