Thanks John, I had wondered if that was it myself, it just seems so teal. As for age there is a nearly identical form, foot rim, and marked vase on the Bonhams sit that I found, but I am having trouble finding again. They dated it republic.

I was wondering where I'd seen this shape/mark before. It is the Bo Jia mark. I've been following this for a bit:
Interesting, I had thought it looked familiar. Does this mean it was made by middle kingdom and is not republic (Bonhams was wrong)?

I'm not sure at all. I tried looking it up before posting but have not found an answer yet. Hopefully someone else could chime in on that.
Well thanks for the heads up. I had seen Bo Jai marked pieces before, always with "Bo Jai" written next to the mark. I hope someone who knows pops on here.
Either way I think its a handsome vase.

John, I have searched around and still haven’t found a piece from the without “Bo Jai” flanking the mark from Middle Kingdom. Kind of has me perplexed. Also I cannot see folks bidding up the gas at Bonhams if it were not republic period. Like if they got it wrong I would think the lot wouldn’t sell.

I also looked for a bit to answer these questions, but I was left with more questions. The Bonhams listing has the mark translated as "Zhong wang guo jia bo zhi", which includes the Bo Jia name, and I also found these two listings:

I don't know whether the mark without the "Bo Jia" flanking was used prior to the Middle Kingdom company, but I find that listing very confusing. I'm sure you've seen this article already showing the founding of MK in 1998: https://www.minzuu.com/pages/middle-kingdom-porcelain

Definitely more questions than answers. Perhaps I should contact Middle Kingdom and ask if it’s theirs? Or Bonhams?
My main concern is putting it in my shop, I don’t want to mislead anyone. What a puzzler...

No problem, Jeremy! I wish there were more answers. I've been facing the same issue with Fukagawa pieces lately. It seems dating solely with marks is not so straightforward. I don't think it'd hurt to contact either company, although I suspect MK would be more open to communicating. Haven't had great experiences with Bonhams.
