This is my first post here! I am a student and researcher from Brazil, specializing in Asian art and trying to become a collector.
I think it took me a long time to find the BidAmount forum and I am reading the recent topics and I am very excited about the possibility of discussing some works with you.
I would like to share some vases that I have with Kangxi marks. I have some suspicion with details of the pieces, but I also don't feel safe to determine the age of these objects or even to evaluate the quality with precision.

This looks like an unfinished object,: the figure outlines are done but not the infill enamelling , and the rather oddly shaped white spaces around the main panel would presumably have been coloured or drawn in.
I agree this looks modern , the footrim is not C18th, nor C19th kangxi revivial , and the cobalt blue has a very modern tone.
Two empty blue rings were used in the Kangxi period , but also in other later periods , especially at the end of the C19th, and of course through the C20th, so they are not indicative of anything much.

Hi Tam, we answered at the same time. I remember we had a platter here a while ago with an unfinished design on the underside. It’s interesting to see how they work. Anyone who can hold a brush steady can do the coloring, it’s like a coloring book.

I would also like to say welcome, this is a great site. I am afraid that I also think your vase quite strange. I can't find anything similar. It is as though someone has muddled up styles. Is that meant to be grisaille, do you think? It just doesn't work with the heavy blue and makes it look unfinished.
I did wonder if it might be late 19th c, maybe a little later, as the thing that struck me was the large head of the main figure and I remember reading that this lack of body proportion was apparent on later rose mandarin pieces. However, that blue is so thick and heavy and looks so clumsy next to the thin lines of the drawing, that I too am left thinking this is a more recent piece.

Its like someone was experimenting with a new style/pattern, and before doing the enameling they realized it would be a waste of time, because it just wasn’t going to look good when finished. Just a thought....

Not really my area but I would concur with above comments, this looks rather modern IMO ...
I would only add that the overall shape profile and proportions , are unknown in the Kangxi period ...

Thank you very much for the feedback and warm welcome, I am happy to see that this forum is very active with so many enlightening answers and interesting people.
I now agree that it is a modern piece with a transfer decorated stencil, which should be painted later.When I mentioned the Kangxi mark, I was referring to the double empty circle, I didn't know that it was also used in later periods.
Thanks for the comments about the footrim and the blue tone, I don't have much experience analyzing these technical aspects, now I have a reference for the next works.
This vase was in a collection for some 30 years, and I didn't have any information about it, except it could be Kangxi. Now I'm trying to deepen my research on these objects, and I really appreciate your help.
