not much help in a answer from MET..Been shuffled around with different emails and links..So this is where I did end up regarding when contacting MET.
I got a PDF file (link below to download file) - MET's museum collection & archives. Maybe it will be useful to someone.
I did attach few print screens what's offered for download.
I gave it a very long shot to Japanese museum which has similar plate to MET's - we will see 🙂

Hi guys,
my plates are taking very interesting turn and twist in this detective type story.
With decent help from other people (I am very grateful for that !) I was able to obtain a link to another similar example to previous 2 blue & white porcelain plates which are located at MET & Japan.
One more blue & white porcelain butterflies plate is located at British Museum - but very important bit, it gives additional very interesting information;

Professor Ohashi Koji has uncovered records that show that the wife of the Nabeshima daimyo ordered ceramics be made with butterfly patterns as gifts to other daimyo wives. Seems that blue & white similar plates are floating around - but still no luck on similarities on my plates..
I guess if my plates made around 1840-60s - then it fits perfectly this person?;

I am curious if it's possibly a gift to someone and if there is no close similarities (at this point) - possibly a gift to someone really important or maybe/possibly made for personal Nabeshima family use?

@julia I decided to email Professor Ohashi Koji @ Kyushu Ceramic Museum - probably this is a right person to try to speak with.
That's a great learning experience for me in regards Japanese porcelain - as in real I have very little interest in Japanese porcelain, but exceptions can be made 😜

@lucky That would be very cool if it they are from that same artist and time. Certainly seems like it could be. Yours are much more highly decorated.
@johnshoe seems that both plates done by same artist.
Earlier Michael (Brettm) in this thread mentioned that it is possible that one plate was made for a female and another one for a male. That was an excellent idea and point out as a possibility.
Last plate which located in BM - as description mentions that similar blue & white plates were made >>"the wife of the Nabeshima daimyo ordered ceramics be made with butterfly patterns as gifts to other daimyo wives." - I think my plates would fit perfectly as a gift as for a family as for a "wife & husband" instead just as of "wife".
Would be ideal to get hands on copies of documentation which were uncovered by Professor Ohashi Koji regarding this..But I guess it is way out of a range for simple mortals like myself.
A week ago or so - I couldn't imagine that I will end up in such deep rabbit hole with my re-search.
Hopefully at some point I will be able to obtain more info which is available out there.
