Can’t seem to find an equivalent online. A dragon obscured at times by clouds and a mountain. The feet and legs are unusually drawn... I’ve searched Satsuma, Kutani, Chinese....no luck. It does have a hairline. Still at the hotel 😋 Couldn’t resist posting this one and hopefully gaining some insight. Thanks, Todd

What an unusual dragon vase you have procured.
I think it's Japanese and probably from the 2nd half of the 20th century but I am not 100% sure.
I tried to enlarge the red mark. Is it or does it contain any script or is it a blank mark?

I like it. Looks Japanese probably 20th C. Hopefully you'll be able to find a comp.
I did figure out that both the form and motif are Korean. I haven’t been able to find anything with the same color palette. The 1st pic below is an example of form, the next two are dragons in clouds in the same general style. When I decided to search Korean items, things started popping up immediately. It could, I suppose, be a modern or vintage Japanese vase in Korean style. If the mountain is Fuji, as Mark theorizes, then it would be Japanese. The form, with the extended vertical base, is Korean though, which makes me lean that way. My best guess for now is Korean 1960s. but no definite proof of that yet.

Do you have more pictures/different angles on hand?
Others may be of more assistance in offering a qualified opinion, but I do find it interesting & eagerly await with you to see what info may come further..

Todd, my apologies as for some reason when clicking this post: I only saw your most recent comment with images of blue and white wares you listed for shape comparison (and embarrassingly assumed the first image of those three was the one you were asking about with the thread title).
You supplied enough pictures needless to say now that I’m properly functioning 😆
Seeing all posts now: I also think the one you grabbed is quite intriguing itself!
I have had a few pieces over time with this shape cause me trouble ironically, and they all ended up as varied origins!
The body itself, depiction style of the enamels (and manner of which the outlining of the dragon is done), and bottom (namely the Kutani-type red cartouche others pointed out) has me feel Japanese.
I’ll be a rebel and wager it’s earlier 20th - but others could likely be equally correct assuming this is later too..
Still stand by my mistaken first post in saying I hope we find out more!

Ah yes, I can understand your interest then. That 1st vase is 15th century and would be quite a thing to find. 😀 No apologies necessary. Glad to hear you think it may be earlier. It seems earlier to me in many ways, except perhaps the way the tail of the dragon was drawn...it seems less than masterful. The clouds though, are very wispy, artful in their subtlety...or maybe those enamels are a bit faded? It is also surprising to find nothing really remotely comparable online. But that is the way sometimes.
