A seller I follow on a site has this bowl listed, just wondering if it is meant to be a later copy of early Ming or a downright fake? Or am I being dense and it is early? The foot rim is what’s throwing me off, and the lack of a decoration around the foot. Just looking for opinions. Pardon the super high contrast pictures as the site it’s on tends to want these types of photos

This appears to be a pastiche of a known early Ming Imperial Yongle/Xuande composition, base on Islamic style bronze/metalwork decoration. Elements of the Yongle/Xuande originals were copied in later Ming reigns, especially during the reign of Wanli who was a great admirer of such wares ...
Certainly not early 15th or Wanli, the painting style, cobalt/glaze tones, motif combinations and foot/base interior are all wrong, as is the writing style used for the Islamic characters supported by the half-lotus flowers on the cavetto ...
Very much later, IMO, but lets wait to hear others opinions ...

I looks to me like such a mix of styles and influences, from various periods, as you say. I don't think it has much age, but I just wondered if there was a way to pinpoint other than to say "modern". I feel as though taking it as a whole it's parts do not add up to an authentic piece, however I keep checking back at the pictures, and individual bits stand out to me.

My inexpert opinion is also that this is a later, probably modern piece. The brown on the bottom looks painted on, and the heaping a piling of the blue looks overdone and artificial. The high contrast pictures do make it difficult to judge and, that too, may be intentional.
For what little it's worth, the writing is I think not Islamic but Sanskrit for Om.
The foot definitely looks like the "dirt" was painted on. I have looked back through the pictures on my computer and the heaping and piling certainly looks overly remarkable. Interesting insight on the Om in Sandskrit, I didnt recognize that.

Are you guys sure it's writing, because to me it just seems like a flowery vine design. I'm not seeing an OM or Islamic writing anywhere.

Craig is quite correct, the characters on the bowl posted by Jeremy are trying to copy Sanskrit characters, which are known to have been used on Imperial blue and white wares from at least the Yongle period, as well as Tibetan script. Persian/Islamic words are known on Yuan period wares ...
