Looking at the additional images, I would think this dates to 2nd half 20th century - at best ...
The unglazed base, glaze characteristics to the outer footrim edge, lack of ware to such, rounded/thickend mouthrim and overall proportions may indicate such a dating ...
But just my thoughts and I could well be wrong - so let's wait to hear others opinions ...

@ming1449 Hi Yin, I'm surprised to see this post has been taken up again a year after the original post, with a different vase to my one. I don't know if you were part of the original discussion, but I have noticed that the original vase that I started this post with is the number 1 Google image search result for imperial flambe vase, also it's in the top 5 or 6 image search results for qianlong flambe vase and a few other related searches. (Qianlong flambe Hu vase etc). I'm still of the opinion to that it's 18th century. I have had many people look at it over the last year and they all have differing opinions, however they seem to be in agreement that the signs of age and wear are natural and not simulated, the vase is old, not a modern copy or fake. A similar Hu flambe vase went up for sale at Christie's a few weeks ago for 80-120,000 but didn't sell, so I think the market must have thought it was not of the period. The colour of the masks is wrong to me, the dark brown porcelain is supposed to be mushroom coloured. When looking at my vase it has a very mushroom colour the masks. Anyway there seems to be a lot of interest in it, and as I say I was surprised how prominent it is on Google searches. Just wandering what you're thoughts are on it. Its of the same size as mine, but the most similar to it is this one, which sold for 180,000 in 2006, before the major explosion in asian art prices..

The alain truong post starts with another Hu vase that didn't sell, so I'm assuming there were some doubts about it's authenticity also.

You are correct, I did not comment on your original vase ...
Having re-read all the posts, I would concur with the comments posted by Giovanni, Yin, Brian, Greeno and others ...
Your vase is not an Imperial Qianlong piece but a 19th or, possibly, later copy of such IMO ...
I note that you say it has been seen/handled by 'many people over the last year' yet there still appears to be no consensus on date, although all agree the ware is natural and it seems to have some 'age' ...
As for why the Christies example failed to sell, this could be due to numerous factors including damage/restoration, if any, estimate rang, or doubts on authenticity due to overall shape/proportions, weight, glaze texture, footrim/base and/or mark writting ...
How the piece 'feelt' when handled, for those who know such 'differences', would also have been a critical factor ...

The ware on this vase couldn't be later than C19. I'm still convinced it's period..
