One of the few weekend finds. I am leaning towards a Jiaqing date, due to the flatter form and short lip, but I am curious what you all think...
There is a firing crack to the interior and one on the base but they don't line up so I don't think they penetrate through the whole piece. Kinda of hard to photograph on my phone but there is a crackle over the whole piece, really noticeable at the lip in my pics. Once I give the whole thing a scrub I'll shoot some macros of the glaze, and the foot, which is quite good quality it seems.

Concur with Brian, the very uneven glaze thickness/pooling around the footrim would indicate mid/late 19th century ...

One reason I was thinking a bit earlier, is the form and size as well as the drippy glaze at the foot is almost a perfect match for this one from Freeman's.
Also I have been reading back through the Gotheborg posts Mike Vermeer wrote about the Flambe glazes and it seems the late 18th century is when they lost control of the glaze running, and grinding/chipping appears almost regularly after ~1800. Also the brown or cafe-au-lait on the base seems more evenly applied on the early 19th century ones.
I realize I should have said Daoguang rather than Jiaqing, but I was thinking 1850 or slightly before.

@jbeer2121 Jeremy, the brush washer you acquired is really beautiful. I know we all wish to get as an exact a dating as possible with unmarked pieces, so I share your frustration. I think you are correct to consider the body of the vessel as a key indicator which might suggest late 18th c. work, rather than late 19th.
From the various flambe and ox blood pieces I've encountered over the years, it is not just chipping to the glaze, but also to the foot - the removal appears to be almost violent. Whereas, on your piece you see the glaze has just spilled beyond the foot, but otherwise, was removed from the kiln with care.
There are most certainly 18th c. examples of flambe from the 18th c. that show similar spillage.
However, do not overlook what I believe to be is the most important element of flambe - color. Dramatic color contrast between strawberry reds, purples, and sky blues are not only what drives the value of flambe, but are usually a good indicator of age - 18th c. pieces are usually far more dramatic than their later 19th c. versions.
In the case of your pale blue washer, your current photos are hard to judge the vibrance - there's a lot of reflection. I certainly like the delicate and clean tones, but perhaps the absence of deeper contrast may suggest a slightly later period.

Thanks, I don't really expect a precise date just still kind of lean towards the first half of the 19th century. I do think the chipping on the foot is minimal comparatively, and the foot shape is pretty consistent with the earlier examples I have come across, it also is a bit taller than the later ones proportionally. I will say I think this one was fired poorly, the crack in the middle appears to be from the thick foot cooling slower than the thinner upper portion, and there is far less dramatic contrast than the Freeman's example. I shot a few pictures outside while attempting to chase the sun to different parts of the yard, but they should show color better. There is very little red in it, just a faint whisper at the edges, and a few streaks in there. I quite like the color combo though as it reminds me a bit of the Jun bowl I had.
