Hello. My English is not very good. But can you tell me about this. I saw this on the Internet in an antique shop. Is it important?

I see a date of 1852 (XianFeng 3rd year) which could possibly be the actual date of manufacture given the amount of wear. From the photos it is hard to know if it is truly of that date, but I will leave it up to you. Appears to be a bowl or scoop for kitchen use but the characters make it somewhat interesting.

The seller wants to charge $ 50. I'm just beginning the ceramics collection. Is it right for me to buy this as the first product at this price?

What does the seller describe this as, a Cup or what? What material, age, shipping reasonable? Where is seller located? Even if it is not old, if you like it and can afford it, you only have $50 plus shipping to lose.
Is it metal or clay? I don’t know anything about other materials than porcelain so I was unable to decide from the pictures. The pattern and mark seem pressed in with a stamp. I’m a bit worried about the warrior figure. It looks rather modern to me and reminds me of tourist objects. Just my personal impression though.

Despite have my computer back and larger clearer screen to view things on I can't tell if the item is wood, lacquer or ceramic. Think George is the right track with it being a scoop, for rice or tea. The Chinese had a system of weights and measures which were subject to inspection by the authorities some of those marks could refer to the volume or weight etc.

I thought it was wood (or even leather!) but assumed you all knew it was porcelain so have kept out of this. ? I did try to find something similar, yesterday, and many of those were wood but not comparable.
If you really like it and can afford to spend $50 on something that you may not be able to re-sell at the same price, then go for it, money spent on something that brings you happiness is not wasted.
If you are buying it as an investment, then you really need to find out more about it and I would be very cautious. If you can't go to see it, ask if the seller will accept returns, or at least provide better photos and more information.
