Hello All,
I know we have discussed items with this design before and that some of them were found to be very recent fakes. At the time we were looking at the items I was in the middle of a house move and was unable to locate my small saucer. It has now surfaced and I would appreciate opinions I know it's not 21stc as I have owned it longer than the 21st c has been going but it could of been made in the 1980's or so. As always look forward to comments good, bad , or indifferent.

On my screen the glaze appears to be slightly blue, I saw this on several items that all appeared to be fakes.

Thanks. No hairlines there are pin holes and rim fritting to the edges of the base rim . I am sure we discussed this decoration " playing boys". I seem to remember somebody had bought a plate that appeared in the news letter and after posting it on the forum doubts about it were raised. I think Peter sorted it out. Don't know how to find old threads sorry.

In my opinion it's Kangxi revival. The bottom looks old, so it's not modern, but if it was Kangxi there should be rim frittings and the rim would be a bit thinner. Also the boys would look a bit different I think.

To me from what I can see,it is a nice genuine Kangxi piece.
A close up of the chips to the base would help one way or the other.

Not sure these pic's any better. Find it hard to photograph small things. Noticed the outer edge has a slight lip to the underside. The chips to the bottom rim are very fine can be felt rather than seen so very hard to capture in the photo.

When I looked at the photos of the reverse of the plate, the glaze reminded of a piece of (late 19th) kitchen Qing that I have - like a translucent icing sugar consistency. Hardly conclusive I know but thought it *could* be relevant?!
I can see the similarity with the 100 boys design, I can also see a similarity with the piece posted here some months ago depicting dancers - they had long sleeves and were pictured animated against a background? With you plate, the character seems to be the same (?) in each panel? Whereas on the 100 boys pieces, each boy is depicted in a slightly different pose or action? Also, the background is usually blank?
Just some amateur observations, probably totally irrelevant!
