Can anyone else access the Yongle Moonflask post?When I click on it I get a message telling me that I need to sign in or register, yet I’m clearly registered and signed in otherwise I wouldn’t be able to post here.

I think it might be. The posts are by a "LabKotalla" which if I remember is the name of the site that provided the report. Do you think Peter has possibly had to make the thread inaccessible?

Something strange is going on here. However, if you hit the link 'view all posts' in the bottom right corner of the original thread, you should be able to see the earlier discussion. Kottala has now joined it as a new Forum member.
I might mention that last night, when I looked at alenajac's original thread, it had gone completely offline and all its posts had been taken down. I checked under the activity tab on my Forum profile, to find that the couple of posts I had made on the thread had been labelled 'unapproved'. I suspect that that will also have been the case for Tam18 and Shinigami who, at that particular stage of the discussion, were the only other Forum members who had contributed to the thread other than myself. Then some hours later, I found that the thread had been reinstated. But in the last few minutes, problems are starting to appear on it again.
Have we opened up a can of worms here? I hadn't personally thought anything untoward had been said. However, I suspected that there may have been unappreciated sensitivities in play, and that our comments were being monitored and perhaps taken down. Very odd.

Yes, Alan is right, there has obviously been an intervention.
I was enjoying it because it is contains a wealth of information and knowledge. But it is possible that there were ‘sensitivities’ we hadn’t considered?

Perhaps they thought i was promoting kotalla vs Oxford. But no i like Oxford too. I only tried to demonstrate the authenticity of my moonflask.

I don’t think you should be concerned about that. I didn’t get the impression that any test was being particularly promoted. The strengths and weaknesses of each were discussed at different points in the discussion.

Dear all, the thread is not locked, it is not accessible in standard way for some reason but if you follow Birgit's instruction you can access it. Just go in the "Auction news ..." section and click on the title of the thread. I have just posted there.
