Looking at Guardian's site I noted this good looking jade bixie estimated at US$2,500,000 which sound a little wild for a han dynasty jade bixie even though we have seen some very impressive results for early provenanced jade bixies in recent years.

And this provenanced one was sold for only £6,000 at Lyon & Turnbull in May, 2021. A nearly identical Han jade bixie in a slightly diffferent material was available to me in late 2019 and I was calculating with a full potential value of one million dolar for that If it have had a good provenance. Some specific reasons for that but in the end I decided to leave it. I still have the pictures of it on my phone. Might post some later on.
And then this one is up at Artvisory Auctions dated to the Ming but I would say it could date to the Han dynasty and if so be worth a lot more than the estimated au$5,000-7,000. Perhaps not the most attractive material but still nice. Unfortunately no provenance is mentioned.
Here's a picture of the jade bixie I was offered in 2019. With its head turning to the side and two horns. The one at Lyon & Turnbull only have one. One of three archaic jade lots available that would each have a potential value of up to one million dollar IF the have had solid provenance. But they would still be very nice antique Chinese works of art to own. I didn't buy any of them though.
This is authentic material and it is very high quality. Unfortunately I can only post this single picture at the moment.
And the special thing about this one is that the jade material is identical the material of a very famous at Han dynasty jade bixie Freer Gallery so the source of the jade is definitely the same. Elements of the carving style is also very similar so it could also possibly be done by the same hands.

Just coming back to this thread. I just got the winning bid of an extremely rare pair of warring states jade tiger plaques carved in an attractive mottled black and white jade material with the colors skillfully used in the design. Likely of the period and comes in an old fitted collectors box (which is a good sign) and it's possible I'll be able to track the provenance. There are only three similar pairs known which are all in museum collections. If I could get these in to one of the majors they will almost certainly go for at least one million. The three pairs in museums can all be seen in this listing of a single plaque at Sotheby's. Sold for more than three million. Wow!

The perfect jade bixie just sold for less than $1000.
I've kept a couple of pictures of it which I might post later on but I'll wait a while in case it should be relisted. Meanwhile I would like to share this massive jade bixie I came across recently sold at Brunk for a bargain and that could have a potential value of millions of dollars. It's likely Qianlong period, imperial and have probably been removed from one of the palaces. A massive Qianlong period water buffalo in an identical material also at the palace is illustrated in one of my books.
