Actually, not too long may be less than a year. I was bored, perhaps a mid-life crisis well, that's what my wife calls it. I actually came across a lot of Jade at a local auction house, which belonged to a very wealthy Singaporean who was in the middle of a major divorce. The jade collection belonged to her ex-husband. The auctioneer auctioned off the whole lot with very few takers so I came in a made an offer for all. I would love to get them valued. Do you know anyone I can contact?
I actually have a few more that need to be re-shot. The lighting wasn't good.

someone is selling this massive over 50kgs old stone jade carving. Thoughts? Belonged to his grandfather.

Yes I do collect Jade and other for over thirty years.
The Buddha statue you posted is IMO very crude in carving and I do not believe it has serious age.
I also have some reservations about the material suggested by the seller.
If you were really going to buy said, I would insist on a reputable gemologist report. It is very difficult to determine from a few low pixel pictures.
Your collection you posted is quite vast and from what I can see varies in age related carvings.
For instance the mottled russet censer with foo and dragon handles is very much in the style of mid 20th century.

Crude is an understatement well, according to the person who has it, the carving was discovered by his grandfather while he was exploring some caves in Burma around 100+ years ago. The carving was done by a monk who was living in the cave. I also don't think it is jade, too hard to tell without a report. I just found it to be unique if the story is indeed true. I won't buy it unless he drops the price or he pays me to move it.
Do you know anyone who can appraise my collection? Yes, I've been here for 15 years, but we are moving to the USA for 2 years because of my wife's job.

In San Francisco there is a well known jade expert by the name of Sam Bernstein. He owns a gallery there. His knowledge is second to none IMO. He has appraisal work for leading museum's and has written numerous books and features regularly with antique reports etc.
He is very approachable and easy to talk to. He also has a blog through his web page that you can join for free.
His appraisals are not free.
There are of course other notable and highly regarded experts within the USA. Which state/city are you relocating to?

Haha, it’s a story none the less. He’s asking sgd $600, down from $2K and I’m asking $400 to move it. It’s bloody heavy. I didn’t see any other jades mainly porcelain & bronzes.
