Bought this yesterday. A small vase at only 15cm sold as by Kinkozan. Circa late Meiji period.

Congratulations on your find of a Kinkozan vase, he sold at the St. Louis 1904 World's Fair and I dream of finding a sleeper when I return to visit family but not likely with everyone checking their phones for comps.

It appears that the vase has a additional mark along with Kinkozan. This is according to my friend Martin.
Would any members know anymore about this artist as I came up with zero.

Sorry, the only pieces I have just have the studio mark and a piece I am considering buying is not marked at all. I will be researching stuff later so I will keep my eyes open.
The section on Kinkozan in Satsuma, The Joy of Beauty in the reference bookcase on page 44 has a write up on Kinkozan mentions Sandra Andracts' book on Satsuma. It does say that the greatest amount was exported to America. Kyoto factory finest 1900-1915, production continued until 1927. In any case, the two illustrations at the bottom of the page of early advertising is interesting. It is especially nice to have the name of the artist.
There are a few references in this to "momo" whether or not they are useful, I don't know. I used control f to search as I couldn't see another way of doing it. Apologies if you have already looked here.

I did look at that site and it appears that the signatures of both Kinkozan and Momo are on my vase.
