That's an interesting comparison. Look at the difference in the faces and the horses. One has orange peel and the other doesn't. The second one appears to have gold whereas there is none on the first.
Is this a quality issue ie plates for different wealth levels in society?
Dear ShortDong, you got it literally: "Here is the original".
Dear Kodousa, you did post a link with no comments at all. Which is your meaning? That is a copy.

Giovanni
I am sure Kodousa will correct me if I am wrong, but I think s/he is selling this.
And I meant one plate has orange peel not one horse! Sorry, that was very poor from a native speaker!
Hello All,
Have been seeing this decorative motive quite a lot recently including one in blue and white if i find it again will post it here.
michael
yes I am selling. and of course the plate is authentic 18thC. No way it is a copy. if you need more pictures, let me know.
Here is the origional
seeing this plate sold for $860 is the only reason I put my up for sale. I didnt think it could bring that much honestly. We will see how it does by Sunday.
I also have other lots - mostly 19thC. Please check them out.

I don't know why you think it is a copy. you can send the link to Peter and pay the $10 for him to look at. if he says the same, then take a picture and post his reply here and I will pay you pack the $10 thru paypal. It is so crazy how an easy piece to authenticate like this and you said it's a copy?! 🙂
Dear Kodousa,
I am sorry if I have interfered with something that is on sale by you, but I didn’t know it, you have not been clear.
Said that, I don’t need to send the pictures to Peter. I keep my opinion on it and it is supported by my experience on Yongzheng ware.
Don’t you see the difference with the genuine one posted by ShortDong? It is evident in many parts. Look at the dresses, the faces, the rocks, the river bank. Without mentioning the glaze on the base.
Sorry.

Giovanni

That perhaps is one (wrong) opinion, I am afraid... I offered a chance to find out what other experts like Peter think but you refused?? I don't get it. One opinion isn't everything, you know. There is a saying in my culture: you can't cover the sun with one hand [of yours]. If you are so confident then just submit the item to Peter, pay $10 for Peter to look at it. If It is truly like you said then I will pay you back, you have nothing to lose. And you can definitely prove your point.
Seeing the other plate BEFORE seeing my plate doesn't make mine a copy or fake. One has a bit more details than the other doesn't mean the one with a bit less detailed decoration is copy or fake either. Two people drawing the same picture - can it truly be identical?
Hello Kodousa,
Perhaps you could explain a little of the Plates history; How long you have had the Plate and where it came from etc.
As an observation only (and I'm happy to learn) the yellow on your Plate appears to be that of Kangxi period, being Iron oxide, rather than the opaque yellow of Antimony mixed with Lead white normally seen on Yongzheng.
It is going to sell regardless as it has many bids.

Hello,
I bought this plate from an auction a few years ago in the US. I did not know where they got it prior to the auction. I know it is antique so I didn't care much to ask where it came from. It is one of my favs. I just saw one sold for $860 last week, which I think is a good amount for it, so I decided to sell mine now and see if I can make some money use it to get another piece later.
Thanks for replying so quickly and honestly.
My personal opinion is that it is a copy (I'm being polite) and lacks the colour and intensity of original Yongzheng bright enamels. The lack of a blue and the weak yellow as well as its perfect condition lead me to this conclusion.
The faces are a worry though as they look good.
As I said,it will sell so someone else's problem (or not) further down the road.
I notice the top two bidders with (0) AND (2) feedback like your items a lot as they have 88% and 97% bids on your pieces.....
Vic
Dear Kodousa,
I do not need to ask Peter in this case, your request is absurd. The plate is yours, not mine. Who may have problems in selling it for what it isn't is you, not me.
Be sure I am not arrogant, I simply know what I am talking about in this case. You can believe it or not, it is up to you. If I were in your shoes, I will try to understand before accusing others of speaking not properly.
If you knew a bit on Yongzheng ware, the simple glaze on the base would be enough. The same as the rocks in the foreground. Completely off.
I suggest you to investigate a bit. But if you think that one opinion is not enough, well it is your choice. Before to say that, I would listen and verify the opinion. One opinion is surely enough if it is correct. As well as thousands opinions can be all wrong.
Best regards
Giovanni
