Hello, All!
I just want to put this out there... I'm going to start putting a few more things up on my Ebay (jaxestateliquidators), if any of you have a particular item(s) you're looking to buy, please reach out to me. I'm going to be leasing out a portion of my building soon, so I would rather re-home some pieces rather than just stick them in a box and putting into storage.
Send me an email if you have any specific buying interests - [email protected]
If you have WeChat or WhatsApp, that would be a good way for us to communicate real time (it's how I often sell to my client's in China), but send me an email, first, with your WeChat or WhatsApp ID.
Otherwise, if you're more comfortable buying on Ebay, I'll be putting more items up over the week (jaxestateliquidators).
Just keep in my that while my prices many seem a little high, I am generally very negociable on my prices (don't be shy about making an offer). The reason why I put the price on the high side is that I like to make my decision to sell, in part, on the basis of the rating history of the buyer.
Rarely (unless I made a mistake on the price), will anyone pay full price, so when the buyer makes an offer, I have a chance to review their profile and feedback before accepting. This technique has kept me from having to deal with a lot of trouble makers over the years.
Same thing about the shipping quote - if it seems high, it's probably because I over-estimated the size/weight to be sure I don't end up paying for the overage. I DO NOT MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING, and I refund all over shipping fees except for $10 which I pay to a family member that helps me with the packing, and that usually comes out of my sale price (or at least in part).
The other thing I want to mention is that as many of you know, I go to a lot of sales and shows (not many auctions) throughout the USA. So, I want to extend the offer that should any of you be looking for particular items to buy (doesn't even need to be Asian), that is shippable, send me an email with a description and/or photo of the item, and what's in your budget. I'm happy to keep an eye out, and I'm an experienced packer, so buying and shipping it worldwide is not an issue for me.
Regards,
Tim
Tim, can you put up a link to your ebay items ? I couldn't find it.
Yin
Tim that’s an interesting Japanese teapot what’s the story on that guy.
@yinchris Hi Yin! So, I'm not sure how to link you to all my listings, so let me do this. Here's a link to one item, and if you click on 'View Seller's Other Items', then you'll see the other pieces I have.

Honestly, I had planned to put a lot of other items this week, but my grandaughter got sick, so I've been helping take care of her while my kids are at work. And, I'm heading to Boston for the weekend to visit family.
So, when I get back next week, I'll be putting pieces up.
@lotusblack Was that you that just bought the b/w vintage teapot? I didn't even look at the invoice...just sent it.
I bought it years ago in South Florida. I have no idea what it says, but the characters appear to be all hand written. I would guess it is circa 1970, so post-Mao / Cultural Revolution. I packed it up and stored it at my building just before Thanksgiving. When I'm back from my weekend trip to Boston, I'll pick it up and get it ready for shipping. Thx!
@lotusblack I guess I'm not sure what teapot you meant, it was someone else that bought the Chinese caligaphy teapot.
Which do you mean, the small green one with underglaze blue?
@lotusblack I have not been able to identify the maker. I think I included a link in the Ebay listing that one at auction for some very good money. To me, it certainly has the feel of late Meiji, early Taisho studio work by one of the masters, such as Makuzu Kozan, his son, or others.
I saw some prints on your ebay. Are you interested in large Yoshitoshi Mori prints?
@musicnus Thanks for thinking of me, David. Those would not be something for me. The prints I buy are generally from the Shin-Hanga movement, so 1910 to about 1960, but also very good quality Ukiyo-e prints from certain artists of the 18/19th c.
