Good evening all,
I found 6 of these plates all similar but not exactly the same and slight different signature on each. I was wondering if anyone recognizes this pattern and where they may be from. I thought maybe Japanese but can’t find anything similar. They are approx 7” diameter.

Hi Nancy,
In my opinion these plates are not Japanese or asian for that matter.
I think based on the crossed/other mark, intense colours and the unusual design that they are probably either European or English ware.
Just my opinion as these types of collectables are not in my area of interest/other.

I feel like I'm looking at the Moon through a very small Telescope,can you provide closer pictures please ?
They appear to have underglaze green and also pink similar to those colours developed at Liling Kiln in China in the early 20th c.
The shapes are that of the 18th c which is not correct (if I am interpreting the colours correctly) glazes,not enamels.

the first ones are of one plate and the last three are of another. They are all very slightly different.

Very nice Plates,I like the impurities in the glaze under the Plates.
Like most things,once the technological advance has been made (underglaze Wucai as they called it) then it can be copied by others.
Liling Kiln is where I'd start the search if I were you.

Interesting comments by Shine. He knows a lot about porcelain and other types of wares etc. Very knowledgeable in my opinion etc etc.
I however still think it is not Chinese but shall defer to the opinions of the more esteemed members who know a lot about porcelain, such as Shine and others. What they don't know is not worth knowing. 🤣

Hi,
I have similar plates and posted them on this site a while back. The thread is probably still there but I think the photos disappear after a while. However, for what it is worth, Liling kiln is the name that came up.
I didn't find much in my searches back then, but will be interested to hear if you do.

i tried to find the thread but to no avail. I did search Liling Kiln but it seems to be mostly newer 80’s type dinner ware. These plates are definitely different. They have a hint of a celadon glaze and appear to have some age to them.
