Reading the posts with my morning tea, there was mentioned a site I had never heard of. Curious, I had a look. Spotted this.

This to my eye looks to be a rather large piece of late Qing export ware. I looked carefully and could not find any hints of a transfer so believe it to be hand painted, and a lot of work went in to it. The unfortunate thing, it has a nasty break and china weld repair. Current bid at posting is a whole $7(US)
I think your correct Rohm. Dish looks very much late 19th century Chinese style. With a western wooden frame perhaps.
Can't tell if it's transfer or not. My screen blurs when images are expanded.

To me it looks like 19th c English Transferware,possibly Earthenware.
Ask them for a picture of the reverse of the meat dish.

..i higlithed the places where the pattern suddenly disconnects ..something that always appears on early transfer.
Can be restored but in my view not worth the money ,only decorative value as it stand 80-95 dollars
Yes, now I see it. I looked all over for a transfer edge but did not see it. Was concentrating on the brush work to much, I found to many irregularities in the individual over painted elements. Also, the wash over the stippling gave me some concern.
Guess I should have had a second tea before making judgment.
Based on the pattern around the edge I believe the piece is by Davenport circa 1815-1825.
It is in very poor shape. Restoration would probably cost more than the insurable or retail value of the piece. However that is only my opinion and I am not a qualified appraiser. I do think you could find a nicer piece for what it would cost you to restore this one.

This is what they us in the UK to do restoration on pieces of the Royal collection.
@webboy I enjoyed watching the you tube videos of the fellow restoring pieces in the royal collection. My favorite vases from the royal collection are four yellow flower ball vases, but I wish someone would have not been compelled to place them in serpent handled ormulu mounts, probably the someone was George IV, but maybe not, can't blame everything on him. The four vases in place were featured on a magazine cover a few years ago, I think it may have been Architectural Digest or Traditional Home or some such, wish I would have kept the magazine. Sharon
P.S. I watched Ashley Hicks Tour of Buckingham Palace part II again, actually they are light blue ground vases, but they do feature some yellow in the flower ball design, it is good to be Queen (most of the time).
@sharonp hi Sharon i watched this restorer too , very clever the way he first mounts the pieces together with cellotape then lets the resin sink in , i am myself a trained restorer of furniture and all kind of things i like to smothen porcelaine cups when the edges are a bit damaged fleeh-bits and smal chips i fill them with chalk powder solved in a 2 component resin it gives a ivory like collor wich you can sand down overpaint with watercolour and the finish with clear resin on top.
Although restored they are much more lovely to handle .
