I got this framed silk to pick up tomorrow. Looks like a young girls jacket of some sort to me. Has some wear. It was framed in the 1990s. Measures 53" x 49" framed.
May I get some comments on it please and thanks to all. JT
Looks legit to me. Seems to have all the bells and whistles, great design, authentic age, etc. Hopefully others can chime in with more confirmation and details, as I don't know much about silk. Does it come with any provenance? Looks to me like it could have an interesting history.
There is supposed to be some kind of appraisal certificate. I will find out tomorrow when I pick it up. Stupid good price I paid. JT
@loveli4236 The only downside is that you might not be able to see the back of it until you buy it and take apart the frame, so there could be condition issues that aren't visible, etc. At any rate, seems like a great find.
Really nice, looks promising. I would agree about asking Peter unless the authentication seems satisfactory.
Well, I got it out of the frame. It is awsome. The back of the robe is better than the front. Prices are all over the board on these, and current condition will hold it back some. I'm sure I probably won't know what it is worth until it closes. JT
