Could this be a genuine example or a fake?
It's got a repair and what appears to be a old Marchant label. The pictures are not great and the seller is providing very little of any details etc.

I can see why you are asking. Is the seller claiming m&p? I am no expert, but a few things looked a bit odd for what should be a top quality dish: the main dragon's face neck, claws and end of tail. So I looked around and found this one on Christies where the dragon looks so much more vibrant and it also made me wonder about the yellow foot rim of the above dish. The side decoration is different, too.
As I said, I don't have the experience to know for sure but I would proceed with caution if they are claiming m&p. I might also check with Marchant to see if they remember it. Didn’t Peter once flag up dodgy Marchant labels? It may have been something else, it was a while ago.

I totally agree with you. This plate is a modern copy with fake sticker.
The front looks convincing though. But the sideview is clumsy and stiff. The imperial mark also looks wrong for imperial m&p.
The repaired crack along with fake stickers is now common trickery. I know Peter has mentioned them before. But I can't recall a marchant one.
The seller is based in Australia with numerous other pieces on offer. No description as to date is given for reasons we all are too aware of. It's currently sitting at about $5.50 with 7 or 8 days to go.
At first glance of this was in a junk store or at a flee market one may have thought they hit the jackpot.

I was almost convinced by the painting quality. But 1. why sell a Qianlong imperial piece on Ebay? and 2. why do fakers spoil it by using these awful fake labels they drench in black tea? Even if a label had been glued on the back of a plate 100 years ago it would never look that brown and dirty.

Although the seller is not claiming this is mark/period, I would concur, a modern copy/fake and a not particularly good one! I would only add that the mark contains numerous stroke errors ...
Although the exterior design is different:-

This motif combination was reintroduced at the Imperial kilns during the 18thC, and is also known with blue dragons amongst red waves, and white dragons reserved against blue waves ...
All three designs copy the early 15thC Ming originals ...

Looking at the rendering, the maker seems to have switched back and forth between pin wheel feet and chicken feet, and then some seem a hybrid.
The iron in the paste that turned the foot rim slighlty orange is troublesome for a period piece, too.
