Well my wife was pretty upset that I brought this worn rug home but I had to save it right?
I don't know anything about rugs, but wow! Sure looks good to me. Peter is a world-class expert on rugs, as you may already know...

@imperialfinegems definitely not modern 1920 is the dating on this rug and I’m thinking it’s a Walter Nichol rug.
@lotusblack Certainly looks like the comps for Chinese Art Deco rugs, what's the size?
@sharonp Someone in the past repaired the tassels on both ends that is what is probably throwing Mark off it’s 9ft by 9ft. Here is a picture of the original tassel

@steve you are correct she said you have 40 rugs rolled up in the basement. Lol I have sent Peter a request for opinion on this piece. It’s either 1920 or mid century copy but it has a different not I’m not use to seeing many articles I have read mentions that Walter Nichols rugs used a fat yarn mechanically made this falls is line with that.

@rahawkins I got it cheap also me and my wife bought a mountain house so it’s going to the mountains. I haven’t told her this yet.
