Hi all
I stumbled upon this blog while googling and want to know what you all think.
The blog studies Yongle and Xuande blue and white porcelain and deconstructs specific areas to form a very interesting and informative study.
I would be grateful if a few of the more expert members on here can take a look for me , I am looking to know if the content looks good and the pieces he is deconstructing look like genuine examples . Otherwise it would be no point investing time into this site.

It takes about 60 seconds to load , its crammed full of info and takes a while to load it all.

I got it to load, it is very slow! Like very slow but worth it. There is some very detailed and interesting factual information. A great resource. Save to favorites.
If these are authentic pieces this looks like it may be very helpful site.
Can any of the more experienced collectors here take a peek and let us know? It does take a while for it to load.

All the objects in this post are modern and clearly fakes. The compositions and execution of the motifs are poorly drawing and in some cases mixed up. The Xuande marks are also wrong, the individual strokes, character spacing and calligraphy used is are all incorrect. The images of Yuan pieces with figures and dragons just posted are all well known and documented, many have been exhibited numerous times. The Xuande stem with dragons amongst waves bowl was sold Sotheby’s Hong Kong lot 32, 28 April 1992 and again Sotheby’s Hong Kong, lot 1552, 09 October 2007. Similar Xuande stem bowls ate in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, the British Museum, London and the Musee Guimet, Paris. I will let you make your own comparison between these pieces and those illustrated on this blog.

This book of an exhibition at the Hubei Provincial Museum in 2013 is one of the best publications on cobalt, glazes and bubble sizes/distribution. Many of the exhibits are either reconstructed examples from the excavations at the Ming Imperial Kiln site or pieces recovered from datable tombs.

Hi all - apologies for the delay in replying, I come to this thread very late last night and had to break of at 1am to get some sleep!! I have spent a great desl of time looking at this blog today, and my initial thoughts are still the same, all of the objects shown on this blog, whether described as Yuan, Yongle or Xuande are fakes. There appears to be two different types, ones that attempt to copy know examples, and others that are ‘fantasy pastiches’, either in shape, designs or both!! I have photo-shot images from the blog for those who wete having trouble loading this site, as others have said it takes ages to download, my iPhone was much quicker!! The attached examples are of the latter ‘fantastic pastiche’ type ...
The second type are pieces that are trying to copy know examples. Most are not very good, but one or two are, and show how could these examples are getting now. The first is a large Yuan dish with dragon/clouds to the centre, lotus scroll to the cavetto, and waves to the rim. For comparison I have shown a large dish, 45.5 cm, from the National Museum of Iran, and another large dish,48.7 cm, with forward facing dragon,ex F. Gorden Morrill Col, sold Doyles New York, lot 75, 16 September 2003 for $1.7 millon.
