Hi,
Is anyone else getting this error message when they try to access specific threads on the forum pages?
I can see the threads and topics etc but if I try to read the posts in them, this internal server error message comes up.
Not sure I can even post this.
Best wishes,
Julia
Hi Julie yes you posted your message. And no I have such experience.
Mark
Hi Julia,
Sometimes, that message appears while the Cloud Server is updating, I think it's ok now, I did check a few posts and seems all set, if not let me know. Sorry about that.
Best Peter
Peter
I sent Peter an email about this 500 sever error yesterday - it makes the site almost unusable for me , as almost every time I log in and view a thread I get this message , it has been going on a week now , and means I have to log out, clear the cache , reload etc. I can see the forum topics but cannot navigate successfully to the threads, and as Julia says , when I upload this post it will show an error message , so I don't know (just guess) that I have replied .
tam
I do not have this issue. However I hope you can get this resolved Tam. If Julia also has the same issue, there must be something in how the web page is constructed.
Hello Tam,
Sorry about not getting back to you, I don't get my business eMail on weekends, but will see it tomorrow morning.
I am not getting the issue, however, 500 Errors can pop up for many different reasons as a "500 Error" doesn't offer a specific type of problem. It only means there is something going on that may affect some but not all users. Needle in Haystack stuff.
We'll pull down the error files tomorrow and sift through for the issue.
I am sorry about the problem. We'll get it resolved as soon as we can. If anyone else is having a similar problem, please let me know..

Hi again, I just did some checking on the FORUM site for the FORUM provider.
This issue has something to do with an Update they did recently apparently.
As a FIX, they Suggest scrolling to the bottom of the FORUM here, and Click The Box that says "Mark All Read" and click that, it apparently clears out the problem...let me know if it works.
It looks like this..
Let me know if this handles the problem ok..

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. Interesting to hear I am not the only one, Tam. For me this started this morning. I actually managed to read one thread, but then when I moved to look a another, this started happening.
I am currently accessing the site from IE and it is fine, but not working on Chrome. I will go back to Chrome and try the fix Peter suggested.
Will let you know.
Best wishes,
Julia
Okay, back on Google, have marked all as read and got access. I have to say though that although I managed to open this thread on IE, when I posted my last reply, I got the same internal server error message.
Let's see what happens now.
Seems fine. Will go back and try that on IE.
Test.
edit: yes all fine on IE now - thanks for at least a temporary fix, Peter. Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it when you have time.
Hi All,
From what I got from the Tech page on the Forum provider, they did an update which left some old "bits" hanging on some browsers. SO some were having trouble and others not, depending on your configurations. Anyway, according to them once you clear everything with the MESSAGES ALL READ click, that should be it.
On a side note, I'm delighted I can get help like this on a Sunday so quickly.!
Best Peter
PS DO let me know if the issue returns, it shouldn't.
Peter
Thanks very much Peter, yes it looks like the problem has been fixed , so that is great
tam
You are very welcome Tam and to all for letting me know about the issue.
Best Peter
Peter
Yes, fixed for me, too. Thank you so much for the prompt help.
Best wishes,
Julia
