@imperialfinegems their claim is that is it is authentic and I should just be taking their word for it. I should just be ignoring everyone else that is claiming that it isn't.
I also did extensive research, and I am not able to find a single other example of a Frank Caro label that is oval and printed in the way this is, other than from dubious auction houses. So again, points to the fact that it was a fake label. All authentic ones seem to be round.
While I completely understand that the responsibility is on the buyer to do some research, I think it is also partially the responsibility of the auction house if they claim to be foremost experts in the field and make it pretty serious mistake such as this.
And then to just completely cut off responses and not reply? I mean how unprofessional can you get?
I am starting to question if this ever even was from that Jade Dragon collection at Peter talked about, and if so, if it is even a serious collection? I am completely lost on this here, and Doyle is not providing anything that would give any comfort to a buyer that just spent over $10,000 on a piece.
Not to mention the fact that I also purchased another piece for over $10,000 that I am attempting to make payment on, but their lack of responses not enabling me to do so.
Glad they decided to do the right thing, perhaps they should stop accepting items from bogus sources, it would interesting to know who is next to receive this hot 🥔
