Hi everyone,
does anyone know how I can contact Peter or anyone on the Bidamount admin staff? Since yesterday I’ve sent emails to the addresses provided and I’ve telephoned the numbers on the contact page several times and cannot get any response or reply.
I have been sent something from Bidamount in error and need to inform someone. It could be important.
Thanks
Nic
I hope he is ok. I am not really sure what to suggest. I imagine the person who is expecting it will notify him too once he/she realises it is taking too long to arrive.
@julia I’ve emailed the plcombs email, tried phoning again and I’ve also sent a message via Facebook. I suspect maybe there’s a working from home arrangement hence no one in the office to answer the phone.
It’ll sort itself out in the end, I’m sure.
thanks
Nic
@nicdan I have called that # in the past and been able to reach him, but I know he is working from home due to health issues and I do not have another # for him. I would imagine they would still be checking their messages, but it might be a bit harder to get to Peter right now. Just thinking outside the box, if you have an object you'd like him to assess you can always do an ID assistant submission and then in the comments mention the other issue you are trying to reach him about and he will probably address it in his response to you. He is very reliable and quick in answering those in my experience.
He replied to an ID assistance request from me very quickly just a few days ago.

@johnshoe yes, I did think to leave a telephone message but after it rings for a while a prerecorded message says ‘answer machine turned off’.
I did send in something for appraisal which is how this all started, so I may have to find something else and pay the $12 if I don’t get hold of him in the next few days.
Thanks for all your help
Nic
@steve still nothing via telephone. Have sent another email and tried the contact form on one of the other Plcombs sites.
👍
I’ve now tried all 3 email addresses (Peter’s and his two sons), two bounced back as they ‘don’t exist). I’ve also phoned several times again but it goes to the answer machine which is switched off! The international dialling code from the uk to the US is 001, yes?
I tried to submit another item for appraisal, outlining the situation in the comments box, but the page kept on crashing, so I gave up.
I know $12 isn’t a lot of money, but when you have nothing to show for it it’s a bit irritating!
It’s all very odd.
Nic
Hi Nic,
I'm sorry you've been having problems. I've submitted two items for appraisal in the last week and he's gotten back to me within a day. I did have a problem yesterday when I went to submit my latest request, so I had to start over. I hadn't paid yet (it froze when it was supposed to take me to Paypal). You already paid and haven't heard back? That's quite unusual and frustrating.
@steve On Friday's video Peter said they may lose power from the predicted major snow storm and the news on Saturday said there were over 100,000 without power in the Northeast, if they are landlines they might not work? I hope all is well, it is no fun to be without power any time but winter in the Northeast without it must be a royal pain. We lost power for a few weeks due to hurricanes and that was enough to cause us to get a plumbed in natural gas line generator, which I hope to never need.
Hi Sharon,
I submitted a request on Sunday and he got back to me yesterday (Monday) and said the power is back on and the snow shoveled. He has been responding faster lately, I think because he enjoys doing these appraisal videos while he's recouperating.
-Steve
Hi everyone,
the saga continues! I took on board the suggestion to submit another item for appraisal and explained in the comments box that there had been an error, that I had received someone else’s item appraisal instead of my own (Is there anyone called Timothy out there? If so, I have your appraisal).
When the appraisal for the second item came through successfully, Peter hurriedly read my explanation of the error to the camera, did not say anything about it, and then the appraisal ended! He re-sent the same incorrect appraisal and said something about ‘spam’. Not one of his emails went to spam, I explained this in several emails.
I don’t understand why this is difficult to understand. Am I not explaining it well enough?
Anyway, I was hoping that one of the moderators here had some sort of direct line to Peter and that maybe they can explain it better than I have to him? Either that or “Timothy” might read this and we can send each other the correct appraisals!
The money for the appraisal has left my account so I really would like to have what I paid for. Is that unreasonable? It’ll be a month of phoning, emailing and explaining on the 25th. I feel quite frustrated to be honest!
Nic
