This nice jade seal was available recently. As you can see it has Qianlong's characters incised on the side but I don't think it's the real deal though. But can anyone here translate the seal-script on the base?
Aren't there really anyone around who can read the seal-script? It was some inaccurate detailing in the faces of the dragon (not seen on the above pictures) that made me think it's not a real imperial seal. But perhaps I'm wrong in that conclusion? If someone here could identify the seal-characters at the base it would be a great help because it would allow me to search the internet to see if there is another seal with the same script and then compare the carving.
This fine jade vase that is also inscribed with a script on both sides, probably a poem, was also available at the same place at the same time. As you can see it has a Qianlong four character mark incised at the base and the fine quality of the carving looks more like something that may be associated with imperial workmanship ...
I see you haven’t had any responses yet for your seal characters. These are difficult to read and may require an expert to help. The only one of the four that I possibly recognize is the upper left “Syin“ character with a meaning of “Heart” (Doesn’t it have the appearance of a heart character?). So as you probably know this looks like a one off mark with a description such as “Purity, Truth, or some such”. Also the Qianlong writing has a cyclical date contain therein.
Wish I could assist further and perhaps Mark may have some thoughts on the quality of the jade.

The base read mark is 'wish wish fuchu'.
The side calligraphy translates to 'miss, worry, mother, June. Cool me to have an emotion to make a poem during a meal by emporer qianlong 1742'.
Personally I would be sceptical of buying this jade seal. It's difficult to determine if it's old or more recent by the pictures posted. The base looks rather new.

Thanks a lot, George and Mark! It was a great help. Much appreciated! I found the seal immediately after Mark posted the print made with the seal in the Palace museum collection. I knew there would almost certainly be at least one other seal with the same script.
The white dragon seal was incised with characters on all four sides but unfortunately I don't have the pictures. I only have two additional pictures I can post. I have lost track of the seal itself and don't know what it sold for or if it actually did sell at all but for sure there was some very interesting stuff available at that time.

Sorry I don't know what this represents. It looks like a pair of wings or similar. It also looks modern.
Glad to be of help to you. A lot of these modern interpretations are hitting the auction rooms of late. Without viewing it in person or without genuine provenance I would be very sceptical about it being genuine. The base looks new to my eye!
Was the one you posted for sale in the USA? Perhaps by the same seller.
