Some of the photos aren't the best quality as they haven't arrived yet so i can't take better photos of them.
this reminds me of myself many years ago when i bought a lot of chinese objects on ebay. the idea struck me that i may have purchased new and/or fake items. i took them to an appraiser and orientalia dealer in birmingham, al. she looked at them and at long last broke out in hysterical laughter. she said everything was "new" and worthless. she was quite wrong about the latter assumption, but her former one was probably on the mark - ie the value was limited shall we say.
she asked me how much i spent. it was several thousand dollars. she looked at me as though i had more money than sense and said i could have sold you a lot of the real deal for that kind of money. what were you thinking?
i left it alone for a long while and have since returned to try to master asian antiques as it is quite difficult given the enormously long timeline of such productions, and the fact that even peter acknowledges that there are good reproductions which fool even the experts.
so for anyone who is still paying attention, watch all of peter's tutorials. several times. and then watch them again. also, you should probably spend a couple of thousand dollars on reference books before buying anything serious. i can purchase items as experiments if the price is not too high, but if were going to spend big money, i would ask questions first and then buy.
finally, sign up for peter's bid amount global service - or whatever it is called. he / staff locate genuine items.
@tonyatl i guess everyone starts the same way, hopefully as i continue to learn i will start to see differences and notice which ones are modern copies and which ones aren't. What do you think of the items in this post? especially the first item, i have compared it with the ones on Sotheby's and Christie's, it looks so much like them. i'll insert screenshots
@clerene0141 for the top 2 items, i agree that there is a lot of similarity, and casually observed may not appear to ontologically different. and i always attach a caveat when using wrong form, style etc because there will always be variations even within a time period and the same kiln.
having said that, the item on the left is plainer, less inspired in form. it is not as voluptuous and vivacious as the 2d item. the glazing seems thinner and less pronounced than on the second. the overglaze on the leaves of the second is richer, deeper.
keep in mind that i consider myself a novice. accumulate a consensus here before drawing final conclusions.

when i compare them side by side, my one ( left) looks a lot like these two ( right). it just looks very similar to them. Though It doesn't help that mine doesn't have the best photo to use for comparing so once it arrives i'll be able to take photos of every side in better quality. Let's see what others think
@clerene0141 i had it back asswards - i thought yours was the 2d one. the gloss on your glaze is higher than the other two which could be due to aging. this again proves my novice status 😮
your foot/base led me to believe that it was newer.
i will be following as other opinions are given.
