Pos. 7. plate with peaches signed Guangxu, second picture was missing. Both attached.
Hi Lysander,
this is just my impression, using a small smartphone screen: all items are modern with the possible exception of the flower pot which might be republic. It’s difficult to tell without further pictures, especially from the bottom.
Birgit
Hello Shinigami,
pitty, wanted to buy somehing more older than Republic period... Thanks a lot for your help!
Best regards,
Lysander
Lysander,
You possibly have some nice items there whether new or old nice for display.
Now down to business here. With so many items and so many photos I am reluctant to spend time researching your items. The plates and vase could have been posted separately over time. Remember that this topic reads “this item” not “these items.”
George
Hello George,
some time ago I've asked about few items in several posts and somebody (don't remember nick) asked me to list all in one post. No idea what is better. Will try to avoid posting so much anyway.
Best regards,
Lysander
I agree these are modern, not republican or older.
some are pretty, but only because they are copying very attractive and desirable forms and subjects. On some of these the painting of the leaves , for me, is a tell/indicator -a lack of real care and attention to detail, and artistic flair, which you see on the qing era originals.
The shading of the leaves, dark and light, should be natural depending on the falling light, but here on the plates and vases the shading appears random and arbitrary. Also the painting of the peaches is very uniform and regular and not reflecting differences in real fruit .
on the number of items , I think it's better to include similar items (which will likely invoke the same kind of comments) in the same post, rather than split them over individual posts.
tam
Tam, I will have to disagree somewhat. Lysander's post had seven different items with multiple photos that were not similar. I could see one or two per post, but he/she could have broken the seven items into three or more posts over several days/weeks. I'm not going through multiple photos of multiple items to research one item of interest to me. OK to disagree, but let's see what other have to say.
George
For me it’s ok to put two or three items in one post, but I find it difficult to judge several items on a single picture even if they are similar as the four plates here.
Lysander, if you want to buy something old you might try the bidamount Ebay shopping pages.
Birgit
I have no problem with multiple items in posts in the sense that it can save a lot of time if they can all be easily dismissed or the query is very simple and easily answered by very few comments. If 6 items can be quickly dismissed in one go, that is easier than having to respond the same way 6 separate times.
However, if the items are quality or worthy of deeper discussion for some other reason, it can get very complicated and a bit daunting. The information provided is likely to be minimal, the photos more general and not only is it harder to keep track with who is talking about what, it's much more difficult to locate the information in the future as the thread will not have a very specific title.
I'm fine with a few items, but sometimes struggle to know where to begin with more. I suspect everyone has a point at which it gets a bit overwhelming and more difficult to respond with the kind of detailed, researched answer one would like to give.

It is better to have multiple items in the same post rather than clutter the Identify forum with many posts. However they may select the most important item and then have their multiple items paragraphed below. So if a member is busy they can just respond to the main featured item.
It is not unusual for a person to have 1 or 2 items. However posters must realise the more items they post than simply 1 the less and less valuable the opinions will be. The less scrutiny if any will be placed on multiple items. People will be more casual about opinions.
Ideally gfhandel is exactly right. If a poster wants a good opinion then keep it to a minimum or post 2 or 3 threads over 2 weeks.
Hi Lysander -
Attach images of a Imperial famille- rose Tianqiuping ‘peach vase’, Qianlong mark and period. When sold in Hong Kong in 2011, it fetch £7.5 million ...
I will let you make your own comparison on the differences in painting style but would concur with the above comments, the vase you posted is a modern copy of this shape/design ...
