Hello all! Have a chance to acquire this piece in a trade. Owner says its 19th c. What say yee? Its 12”h. Really a beautiful piece. Trade may go down before i get a definitive answer lol i like it alot!

I think this is a 20th century vase. The shape has appeared earlier but this one has a wrong base for an earlier one. Also the base seems to be just very dirty, without dings and still with many remains from the firing process.
Also the surface of the vase seems to be dirty but with wiped earthen streaks. I have seen this a lot on newer pieces, to give an "old" look or just because they were cleaned hastily after producing.

Hello!
The color of your flambé, purple and maroon, is typical of late 19th c to modern examples. Early 18th to mid 19th c. examples have more of a strawberry red with blue tones ranging from robins egg blue to a bright purple.
However, your photo of the mouth is blurry, and you didn't clean the surfaces, so perhaps some additional photos would be helpful in dating the piece.
After cleaning, post some clear close up of the foot rim, the mouth, and the glaze (close enough we can see the bubbles trapped in the glaze). Okay?

@surfcollector I think Guangxu period is reasonable based upon the photos. Nice vase, but try and clean off the gunk... It does raise concerns about authenticity.
@greeno107 thanks, was heavily used and not a “cabinet queen” and it shows. Was not part of any serious collection, has just been part of a family and used for generations. I spotted it in a friends garage just tossed in an old milk crate with some other garden pots and planters- and these little tree trunk form beauties! Just hosed them down, and wow! Thoughts on these?

@surfcollector Very interesting brush pots. I think they are in the form of prunus tree trunks, but coral form is not entirely out of the question. I've seen some flambé and of blood figures, but nothing like what you have. They seem as old as the vase, but with such an unusual design, I can't really be certain.
I found these on 1st dibs...
So much for 10 Bucks... 😅
