I bought this plate from the same estate as the black & amber Cizhou pilgrim flask (possible Song/Jin period).
I’d be interested some better minds than mine on the age of this little dish, and if it’s even Qingbai - these little celadon pieces are not my thing…. But, it called to me … “Tim! Buy me!”
So, a week of research, and I’m not any closer to figuring this one out.

@johnshoe Thanks John! It looks like a good match, except the conical shape of the Bruno’s bowl vs. the flattened firm of my bowl.
The mouth of my bowl is fairly thick, too, so I had doubts… still kind of do.
Have you come across any with the same form of dish?
@johnshoe The last example looks close. The pair before look closer to the pair I’m selling in my little ‘virtual sale’, but much nicer than mine.
My pair in the sale are un-carved, but has the same form and unglazed mouth.
That second example you shared looks very close… going to read up on it.

‘the footrim and recessed base unglazed’…. Mine has a flat foot, but certainly the design is very similar.
Charming. But can you really make a profit on a piece like this? I wouldn't set the value higher than $200 for a piece like this. Maybe a little more with the fish and the unusual dark grey color, but that's about it.
Imo it could be Song. Qianbai wares are from Jingdezhen. This bowl has different paste and glaze than Jingdezhen wares.
This one is similar to Korean or Southeast asian wares imo.

I just don’t want to put a misleading title.
@avatar I certainly would be appreciative to make a few dollars on on this plate and the other pieces I’m putting up, but it’s not entirely my motive for the sale.
So, if it sells for a dollar, I’m okay with that.
For years I’d buy just about any Asian piece I come upon if it was cheap (still do) and overall good quality. But I just don’t have the space, and it’s not furthering my skills as a collector to just to buy every piece I come across, then sticking in a box.
But it’s hard to walk away from a good buy, especially when I think about how many collectors there are scrubbing the internet and every thrift shop, only to end up buying a piece of (expletive) - to be blunt.
So, I’m hoping that this little sale provides another venue, and if I make a few bucks, great. If not, I’ll explore alternatives.
I have buyers for my top pieces…. There is no shortage of Chinese buyers looking for mark and period, and quality pieces that are 100% perfect.
But I think a hairline, chip, drill hole, and the like shouldn’t be the kiss of death for a good quality antique that still retains most of it’s aesthetic beauty, not to mention it’s historical value.
Hopefully you and others can find some good buys, and I can continue to pay for the gas in my car as I travel the USA hunting down my next big buy.
