Got this thrift store plate to learn a little bit about. Any ideas on it for age? It’s 8” in diameter. Thanks as always!
Imari arita Phoenix plate. Circa early 20th century. So late Meiji period 1868-1912 through to Taisho period 1912-1926. So 1900-1920's in my opinion.
Can't tell exactly from the images but I think it could be partially printed. As in the center design and on the back outer side. My phone has a very small screen atm.

Thanks @imperialfinegems and @Julia for the info!!! I thought it was too perfect in the center and therefore printed myself but didn't know how that effected things. Guessing that means more mass produced and less value then a fully hand painted piece?
It will make a difference but I don't think that it will be huge when compared to the same plate without printing, unless you express the difference as a percentage, because the value is not going to be high. It is quite nicely done, but there are so many of them around that the prices tend to be quite low unless the item is exceptional or unusual. Have a look on ebay and you will soon get an idea.
The number of them around can also make them hard to sell, at least it was like that where I used to live. I have seen lots containing several go for relatively nothing at my local auctions. In fact, when we moved to France, charity shops were refusing to take more items owing to everyone having had a lockdown clear out, so I actually left some Meiji plates out for the bin men. I regret it a bit but we had no more space and I did put them on top of the bins so they could sell them if they wanted or maybe someone else passed by and picked them up. I hope so, I did feel bad about it.
