Beautifully decorated but I think it’s modern. The style of the bottom gives it away, complete with some fake chips. Why are they at the bottom? The most vulnerable point is the rim. Also the gold decoration shows no sign of wear.

Mark, I feel that I have seen it too, possibly on here. It is reminiscent of something on one of the black ship plates or the marks on hayashi kuro ware. I spent so long trying to find another example that I didn't have time to do more than like Birgit's reply.
For what it is worth, I agree with all the comments. My first impression yesterday, was that this is rather a fantasy piece with a mixture of styles and some odd damage. Looking at it again, I still feel the same.
Looks to me to be a 19th c Koransha / Fukagawa bowl.
They experimented a lot with these quasi Chinese / Japanese designs.
The heavy / sharp enamels and the fish scale pattern, along with the floral panels are all designs I’ve seen in period Koransha / Fukagawa.
Let me see if I can dig up a photo of a vase I once owned.
Here is the vase I once owned with the better known mark. Not a perfect match by any means, but notice the very ‘new’ look it has due to the bright/thick enamel work.

I have come back again to look at that bowl you posted.
I agree wholeheartedly with @Greeno107 on this one. The design is very much in the styling of fukagawa. The dragon is very much Japanese by his firece look.
But the mark is baffling. So I have asked a couple of my Japanese collector friends who specialize in koransha and fukagawa what they think.
It's in my opinion late Meiji period to Taisho period. So 1900-1920. So kindly disregard my earlier post as I did not look at it properly. Excellent quality. Hopefully someone will recognize that mark.

I agree it is Japanese. There is a Chinese look in the border around the top foot rim (not the Nabishma-esque bit on it) and the rocks and flowers in the cartouches. The waves remind me of some cloisonné pieces. This is why I feel there is a mixed bag of styles.
I was thinking more Showa for a date, but I agree, it could well be Koransha. I did a quick search and this looked a very similar red. The flowers have the same flat look, too. It is described as vintage Koransha but annoyingly, when I clicked the link to Ruby Lane to find out more, I discovered it had gone.
I have to admit that I thought it was Chinese. So forget what I said about it if you haven’t already done so.
