Hello fellow members😊
What do you think of this one?Â
It was truly inexpensive, so not a risky purchase.
Diameter 18.5cm
Height 8cm
Photos were taken with my old phone but that's how this piece looks like.
Kind regards,Â
Adrian

It's a nice bowl but I'm afraid it's most likely modern. I see a lot of very convincing guan-style pieces but the majority of them are modern. What makes you say it's longquan guan-type rather than true guan ware? And will you tell where you got it? If it should turn out to be authentic it would be a great find.
Here you can see a guan-style double gourd vase I was tempted to bid on just a few days ago but fortunately I forgot about it. 23 cm high with a nice slightly bluish toned glaze. It sold for only $350.
Â
This lobed vase was also available from the same seller. 18 cm high with a nice greenish toned glaze. Probably longquan guan-type rather than true guan ware. I was bidding on it but jumped off at $400.

Hello my friend,Â
Many thanks for your comments, it's very much appreciated.
I have received confirmation from different sources, that indeed it is a modern copy. I bought it on one of the fairs I did recently. I was packing up when I was approach by a dealer who Ive seen before on few events, a Chinese woman, she was complaining her day was bad and she didn't sell much. I have seen her stall in the morning before I set up mine and she had some not really good looking items, so I didn't spend there much time browsing her stock. When I was packing up she asked me about a vase she had bought at auction and paid like nearly 800 for it, I saw that piece in the morning and it was not an early one but rather mid 20th century and I told her that. She badly wanted me to buy something from her and I agreed for her to bring some of the stuff she had, so I could see it one more time. Among that was this bowl. I told her straight away its a copy IMO but the way its done its very convincing, so maybe it's a later copy, 19th C, however I am not really very good in those wares, as I didn't handle many originals in my hands, so she should seek some advice and confirmation elsewhere. She was a bit pushy and asking me to buy it. I was in the middle of packing up after 2nd out of 3 fairs planned for bank holiday weekend and I was basicly tired, few times I refused to buy it, finally I really wanted to go so I said I can give her 40 pounds and if it is fake as I think then let it be, I thought there are chances for at least late Qing copy and in that case I could resell it with some profit. Glaze looked convincing, the weight was a giveaway its not original at all. I really took pity on her, I had a good day and I thought I can risk 40 and learn something or even eran something if it is 19th C revival. Why Longquan? Because of the celadon. That's it. I'm not really that good with early pieces from that kilns. Would you be so kind and provide some basic brakedown with key features that distinguish both styles/kilns?
Thanks for the links! I'll have to save it for later and browse it when I resuscitate my temporarily dead pc.
Cheers for your comments and support!
Adrian
