I was just watching the John Constable painting on fake or fortune, and during an intermission; I happened to glance at Bidamount and saw this in the the Daily Ebay Auction Catalog.

Fine Chinese Porcelain Iron-Red Plate With Figures-Kangxi-18th C.

The thing is I bought 2 of these plates at the auction in Dublin. The plate here and the plates i purchased are identical apart from the tiny differences in the artists symmetry, and brush strokes. They 100% the same plate.
However I purchased my plates as Chinese Qing Dynasty Export ware plates. They were priced low at between 30 and 50 pounds. I have them in my auction book.
So my question is are the fake or are they fortune 🙂

I am not sure about your plate but these are common 18th century export pieces. $555 is about right if genuine.
Common is not a word I would use with Kangxi 'milk and Blood' pieces.
They all look genuine and nice pieces.

Your plates are correct for Kangxi. I inspected them in person at the auction. I recall both being damaged? A very cheap purchase all the same, though you're not sitting on a fortune!
I hope you enjoyed the Constable programme. I saw it too. Fascinating.

Yes, it was very good. Excellent production, they really went the extra mile. ? I though tit was a humorous coincidence, to discover my plate sell for $555 on bidamount during the intermission.
For some reason I had thought they were late 19th century at best.
Very tiny chip on the on the front rim. The front rim is smooth with only a tiny rough bit, which might be a micro chip. " very minute patchs of wear and discolouration. Millimeters, and a couple of firing on spots on the front. There are about 5 slight chips on the base rim.
So quite good condition, no cracks or hairlines.
Ross has re scheduled the November Asian Auction to May 22nd 2019. Which is kind of disappointing, however I grabbed 4 Perisan carpets out of there for 5 euro a piece 🙂
They still have Asian pieces in their more regular auctions.
