Not sure what these are for, they're small and look like they're for sauces to me. about 3 1/2" diameter and 1 1/4" tall. I'm guessing cantonese but not sure rein... Got them mainly for education as they were practically free, the other items from this crazy 3 generation old estate where incredible..
Thanks for checking it out!
I would say they are of this type below. They have a similarity to the footed bowls one sees often with stamped reign marks during the later 19th c, but are to my mind, lesser quality. Not sure on dating, maybe in to the early 20th c. I feel the urge to add that I think the prices below are not value for money. 😊

There are many of this late 19th/early 20th century type around. Nice and with a rustic charm but have no real collectors value. Like kitchen Qing but with colors. I think it’s not bad to buy a few cheaply for decoration purposes but I would not build a collection with them.

I bought 20 of these in a lot for 1 dollar each the only ones that sold had chickens painted on them the rest are sitting in storage collecting dust.
@lotusblack I bought one like this not that long ago for a buck at a thrift store then sold it for $30. Nice profit margin... now if I can just do that with a few more zeros added I'd be in business! In the meantime, I got a couple sandwiches out of the deal.
Thanks for all the info, I didn't think they were really worth anything as rough as the footside looked but good to check out, plus basically free. I bought them with a 1980's Mattel box with what I thought was a big toy in it, turned out is had old other toys but that worked out really well as I got 5 Hot Wheels redlines that I sold for over $800! Also found a Newcomb Pottery pitcher in the kitchen sink! I only wish I had been there when they had the original estate sale months earlier.
@johnshoe I think $30 is a fair sales price but what they want on Etsy is over the top. Like people selling the green Shiwan jars as Ming.
This is a bit off topic but I recently found a dealer who has nice 20th century Chinese porcelain and sells it for reasonable prices.

@petetsai Jesus, I had no idea hotwheels sold for the price of a nice Qianlong export plate. I'm not sure how I feel about that....
@petetsai Newcomb College Pottery makes frequent appearances on Antiques Roadshow, yes, if you had been early, maybe you could have gotten a George Nakashima piece and we could see you on the Roadshow. Sharon
@johnshoe I’ll sell you the rest of mine at $9.99 then you can double your profits.
@lotusblack wait, all 20 of them for 9.99? If you also cover the shipping cost I might take you up on that deal. 😀
@johnshoe Yes, they were all late 60s redlines which I knew were good but not that good, and with the billions of hot wheels out there I usually never even look at them, just got lucky!
@sharonP I wish! I did get a little excited when I couldn't figure out the dating on mine, but some experts told me this was from the very end of the Newcomb era where they transitioned to more utilitarian wares.
I will say though my closest find to being Roadshow worthy is this online estate sale that I checked an hour after it started and noticed "Funny Glass Bird" Which too me looked far too well done to be nothing.
after further investigation with my Murano friends it was found to be piece that just happened to be on exhibit in Venice, the former curator of the Louvre collected Murano animals and the exhibit, "The Glass Ark" was debuting with his huge collection and a new book. My piece was in it and my friend saw it there and called me immediately!
From the book by MH Aureliano Toso. Model 9846.
Really quite an exciting find as we had to uncover its history and it is worth quite a bit more then I paid for it.
@petetsai Congratulations, I love it when something shows up in a book or on a set design for television or movies.
