I recently acquired this vase and I would like to hear what you think of it. I apologize if the pictures are a bit dark, they were taken at night with a lamp. Thanks
Very much kangxi in style , deep blue cobalt , mountain and river scenes and precious objects panels, but I don't think it's kangxi - the painting is blurred and imprecise eg, the tree branches and mountains , and there is no outlining and filling in , that you might expect to see.
Also the tone and shading of the blue is not right: real kangxi landscape blue and white vases have spectacular shading to show depth in the mountains - a feature that Peter has highlighted many times in his videos.
So the other possibilities are kangxi revival, late C19th early C20th, or a modern piece, and judging from its condition with no wear on the footrim, mouth etc, , and from the uniformity of the blue tones, and the shape/texture of the unglazed foot I think this a modern copy

To me it does look to be 20th century piece as tam has pointed out. John
Maybe, to do the piece justice you need to try to get some photos in natural light? The shape looks a little dumpy but that could be irrelevant or the camera angle.
However, I also feel the painting is a little fuzzy and imprecise. Compare this from Alain Truong:

a few better pictures under natural light. It comes from an inherited collection I had great luck with other pieces in the past. I didn't pay that much for it, therefore i wouldn't be that disappointed if it is modern.

I agree with the others, not Kangxi.
What is really wrong is the shape as pointed out by Julia and the painting style as said by Tam.
I can’t say for sure if it is a modern fake or a late 19th early 20th C copy, but the surface wear looks natural and all in all I am more inclined to think that the latter has better chances.

thank you, i also thought 19th century was the most probable as almost all the other pieces from the same collection date from this period

Like the others, I am inclined to think it is a 20th c copy. Aside from what has been mentioned, the top half doesn't seem to go with the bottom half. I haven't seen a vase of this type that mixes the landscape with the precious objects, it makes me think that whoever painted it, was not understanding the style. Also the borders seem busy and too much. I feel the space has not been used in the way it should have been. I don't think the base looks right either.
Of course, having said all that, I have to remind you that I know comparatively little. What do you think? You have it in front of you. Have you any feelings or doubts?

I thought guangxu period kangxi revival but I feel much more confident judging famille rose pieces over blue and white ones, it is why your feedback is much appreciated.
I'm rarely confident which is why it is great to have this facility, isn't it. 😊

I would also concur with the others, your vase is not Kangxi. Whether late 19th/early 20th C or modern fake - which I’ve seen a number of over the last few years - is difficult to say but, as Giovanni comments, the wear to the glaze surface appears natural, so I also would be inclined to think late 19th/early 20th - IMO ...

I might try to sell it on ebay in the months to come as a guangxu/republic vase as I doubt any serious auction house will want include it in one of their sale. I think it might do well on ebay.
