Having trouble figuring out what this is and age. Dragons and a Shou in the center. Obviously a Chinese design, but could this be Japanese? One dragon has his mouth open, the other closed, which is a nice touch. Its a finely made piece. Nice foot, good pooling of the glaze where the base meets the foot. Skillfully incised. Maybe someone has seen this type before. 23cm across.Â

I did seen a "few" Japanese porcelain items in a past (and still looking and seeking for Japanese items) - but this one - I look at this>>as really expectational & rare Japanese porcelain item.
Never seen anything like that, quality is great, condition is great, glaze color great & rarity is great. Sadly some glaze imperfections in center and short hairline without them, in my eyes, this would be super excellent porcelain item, with them - just "excellent" 🤣

You will have to do deep re-search as much as possible on this bowl. Scout museums etc. When writing this post, I feel excited some much, feels like I do have this bowl 🤣

A small hairline, but only visual under close inspection, so not bad. The imperfections appear to be kiln grit. Better to not have it, but it does help verify the age I guess.Â
This is the best I have done so far https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/52352 Â , but its quite different in many ways, so just mildly helpful. The form is a decent match though.Â

Not sure on dating, but Meiji seems about right.
