Some very nice enamel work on this bowl, but unfortunately a few of the blue circles around the top seem like transferware because the lines are sort of running together. Nicely written mark. 14.2 cm wide. Thoughts please.

The overall painting style, motif composition, enamel tones/application of, footrim and mark writting indicates not Yongzheng period but much later and, probably, fairly modern - IMO ...

@shinigami I'm agreeing with you on age, but doesn't the inside ring start at 'noon' and outside ring at 3? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
I apologize if I am beating a dead horse as it were. I ran across this again today and was wondering if you could help me do better at determining if an outline is printed? I took some closeups and will probably need two posts for them. Dots above the foot… some the blue outline is more oval than round. Also, the photo of the green enamel in the center.
Red, yellow and green are painted, but the blue parts have that blurry look that makes me think they are printed.

For some reason my second post didn’t work. I think I was saying that the mark seems to have the strokes beginning at the right place. Is that because you feel the mark is also printed? This 14.2 cm wide and 6.3 cm tall bowl is thinly potted and 124 grams. The blue outlines seem too irregular to be printed. That’s really what I’m asking. How can I tell if they are printed?
@centralpapottery I think these things are hard to describe with words. It seems like ours eyes just have to look at many many examples to learn the difference. And even then it can still be tricky to tell. Some printed pieces are very crisp, while others have a hazy or fuzzy look, depending on the style they are copying. It gets further complicated when some of a piece is painted and other aspects are printed. For your doucai cup just look at as many doucai examples from major sales as you can and compare to yours and after enough of that your eyes will naturally start to see the differences.
@johnshoe thank you. No doubt a very good answer. Someone sure did a lot of work on the red, yellow, two shades of green and in my opinion at least some of the blue. Did they print these marks too?
A hand painted design can be reziprocated by printing. I don't know how the technique is called but for example the plates in my local Vietnamese restaurant are made that way. They all have the same printed pattern that was originally hand drawn by a designer. The giveaway is the blurry look.

@shinigami ahhh, I see (I think, lol). The giveaway on prints from oil paintings is the dot pattern but on porcelain it's blurriness? Thanks for your efforts in helping me. I'll get there.:)
@centralpapottery Also you have to be careful about paper prints, because some printing technologies do not cause the dots. I'm not technically sure what the different techniques are, but sometimes they are more like lithography or woodblock type results, where there are no dots and yet they are still prints. I have one like that of a famous Chinese painting.
@centralpapottery Yes, the copyists can sometimes really nail a color or a design type, that is why it is important to take in the whole piece when assessing, otherwise we can get fooled by this or that element.
@johnshoe I've been looking at authentic Doucai... much much softer looking than mine to my eyes. And the yellows on most of the authentic are much different. Thanks. But, I saw Sotheby's sold a new vase for 1200. Someone put a decent amount of effort into this little bowl. And the porcelain quality is quite nice.
