Bismillah (in the name of God): Here is another story, a man who has been collecting Chinese artworks for many years in Usa-he even bought some of his pieces from christies according to a sticker on the bottom of one of the pieces- died 10 years ago, now his son who inherited his collection wants to sell it, his son told me that he gave the pair of Qianlong bowls to two experts, one said its authentic and one said its real here is a snipe of what the collection contains:
1- Famille rose bowl with Yong zheng mark :
2- doucai bowl with qianlong mark:
3 -pair of blue and white pair of Qianlong marks:
4 and he has this jade as well:
for my limited experience, I think all of these are real, what do you think my friends?

The white jade plaque is interesting. However more detailed images are required as they blur/reflection when expanded.
Any further information about its history?
Regards,
Mark
@imperialfinegems I don't know the history of this jade, I have just got the pictures of it days ago and nothing else, I can't really ask for more images right now, I don't want to be too demanding, what do you think about the porcelain bowls? are they genuine to your eyes and experience?
Ibrahim, they a very pretty bowles, my issue with them is they are to perfect. The famille rose bowles have the bubbles in the right places but I see no lifting of the brush on the enameling, the glaze appear to be correct but the base rims let me down. The blue bowls look more convincing but once again the rim fails.
You mentioned there is a Christie’s sticker does it have a lot number that can be researched and some sort of professional opinion on the bowles, in writing? If so you can research the appraisers credentials.
I am but a trifler compared to most so I would concede to others opinions from the smarter people. Also my review is a bit of a test of my knowledge. I sure hope I get at least a passing grade🙂
I’m afraid I have no knowledge of Jade so that will be for others to interpret.
Ron
@sadoq95 Based upon the photos, the Yongzheng bowls are fakes.
Ron is correct about the nature of the enamels being too perfect. Specifically, the pink & white fengcai enamels of the Yongzheng period were a newly discovered color, and firing of these colors to achieve good results still created bubbles where the enamel was more thickly applied.
The overall design lacks the delicate hand of a genuine Yongzheng piece. The line work should be done where the black lines go from thick (not very thick, but comparatively), to thin, to none. This creates an illusion of three dimensional bends in the stems of the leaves and flowers.
The doucai bowl is completely the wrong colors for Yongzheng, or any period for that matter. The green enamel and underglaze blue lines are so dark that at first I was not sure what color palate it was suppose to be.
The blue and white bowls actually look nicely made, but the color of the white porcelain doesn't seem to contrast against the blue in a way I would expect for genuine Qianlong work. That might be the photography and lighting, but given the other two obvious fakes, I would be very cautious. Also, the designs seems to lack the sharpness / crisp line work of a genuine Qianlong piece.
The porcelain of the Qianlong bowls should be white, like milk, the foot extremely smooth, and I think the mouth should be a bit more refined, but to be sure on the blue & white bowls, I would need to handle them, but based upon the photos.... I would pass.
I won't comment on the jade as you're in better hands with Mark, but the stand look to be Republic period and nicely carved. but just because the stand is nice doesn't mean the jade is genuine.
I wish you luck on your treasure hunt! Where are you looking for Chinese treasures? It sounds like you are in the Middle - East where there are so many beautiful artifacts of historical importance. Be safe!
Ron and Tim are right, the pieces look too perfect. Of course imperial porcelain would look perfect too, but in this case the price would be tens of thousands of $. I don’t know how much the seller wants from you, but ask yourself why he sells for a fraction what he could get a lot of money for. If a seller has a story to tell it’s usually a warning sign.
Birgit
Hi Ibrahim,
Buying porcelain is one thing. Jades is another kettle of fish. You can often gauge porcelain by low images. The same does not apply to jades unfortunately.
As noted by @Greeno107 the stand appears to have some age.
I doubt very much that this plaque is Qianlong period. It be either late Qing/early republic or brand new. One needs to have clear images of the tooling as well as the overall quality. The calligraphy looks too perfect for later which is problematic.
Did the seller indicate a price to you?
I would read carefully the advice given by others with respect to the imperial bowls you posted.
Mark
Beautiful Jade and stand, old or not, but the porcelain pieces look ”Obama period”, like all above said ! High quality fakes are and will be harder and harder to spot, probably provenance will be more and more important.

Michael
