Mmmm the seller seems to hedging their bets here. The title on ebay says Qing Kangxi. The description says 18th 19th century and gives dates 1800 to 1849. On my screen the photo's make the bowl look as if the decoration is not entirely hand painted. Will await more learned posters to give their views. Hope will learn something.

Nathan has done that before. The bowl does look like the mass-produced printed wares you see that are coloured in a flat pale blue, no shading, no life. In fact does the printing looks like it has gone wrong in one place? The transfer looks to have got caught up or twisted.
That flower on the side also looks unbalanced and as for the mark, what is going on there? I can't decide whether it looks as though it was added later or someone has tried to remove it with something - there appears a faint discolouration around the set of characters. At least, that is what I see on my screen.
Could this even be Japanese? It's certainly not Kangxi - Nathan you should remove that, and 18th century, from your description. To be honest it looks more like 20th to me. I assume you are putting these items here seeking help? If you are not and are merely advertising, please let me know and I will stop saying anything. Might I also suggest it might be best to seek opinions before putting things up for sale. Hope it is ok to say that. ?
I think you can say that Julia. In fact I did not fall in that Nathan was posting his own item, we have a place to post our own items. Would make it easier for us all to post our thoughts on items if we post them in the right place.

Thanks, Micheal. I was worried because I think he may be sharing his items in case we want to buy them rather than seeking opinions. Still, I hope he will see that this is meant well.
I assumed he was looking for confirmation of the accuracy of his listings? He does sometimes change the listing according to the feedback here. But as Julia correctly says, he should seek advice before lisrpting.
It feels a bit awkward, Nathan, because many of your items are obviously not right. I wonder why you don’t spend more time learning about Chinese ceramics before trying to sell them? You’d have much more success in the long term.
