Dear all, really tired of giving away my things almost for free due to eBay’s complicity with not honest buyers, I listed my last best things on Katawiki.
But, also tired of selling most of the times for less than what I paid them, this time I did set reserve prices. They are a fraction of the real value, but no problems, if they will not sell, I will happily keep them:

PS: I see that in the Bidamount newsletter and Shopping pages the items of Catawiki disappeared. Did happen something between Bidamount and Catawiki?
They are lovely items, Giovanni. Good luck, I hope they bring what they deserve. May I please ask why there is almost a double date estimate on the last one?
Peter said last week that he was a bit fed up with Catawiki, can't remember the exact reason, but basically he was taking a rest from featuring their items.
Dear Giovanni -
Some beautiful pieces, I especially like the large dated late Republican vase with figures, which is superbly painted ...
I do hope these do very well for you ...
With regards
Stuart
Dear Julia, thank you.
Difficult to date exactly, I believe that the warmer is Qianlong, but it could be also Daoguang, so for safety, better to put a double date.
Regards,
Giovanni
@clayandbrush Dear Giovanni what a small world I’m the one who had placed the bid on your republic vase. Lol I’m not sure I can go much higher but yes the reserve is slowing me down.
@ming1449 I like it also lol. We see good artistry. Unfortunately I have a spending limit so I miss out on some good things.
Dear Julia, thank you.

Ah, I understand. Thank you. 😊
Thank you dear Stuart and Brian, and thank you for bidding.
Yes, Republic vases of that quality are fetching incredible high prices, more than 18th century vases in some cases.
That vase, signed by a prominent painter, dated, of that quality and size, would easily go in the range of 20,000 euro at the big auction houses, if in perfect conditions. That has a crack which origin is natural, and the reserve is less than one tenth.
I am not a collector of Republic ware, but I must say that I like it very much and if it will not sell it will be a great looking lamp😊.
Regards,
Giovanni
@clayandbrush Good Afternoon Giovanni, I hope you are well! Could you send me an email? I have a question on the Republic vase - [email protected]
I wish you luck in your auctions, and I don't blame you for the reserve - had a bit of much undervalued sales myself lately 😊
Thank you sir!
Justin
I did bid on the republic vase but could not get to the reserve price. Well another waits to be had.
I contacted Justin. Sorry Brian, as said the vase is of very high quality and a reserve (my first time with it) was necessary.
Catawiki has sent a proposal to the high bidder and we are waiting his answer.
Regards,
Giovanni
@clayandbrush thanks and I totally understand. Let me know if the high bidder passes. I’m still willing to make an offer.
Is Catawiki better than eBay? I just listed my first pieces on eBay but also wanted to try Catawiki. I listed a Longquan plate for the experts to estimate but it took really long before I heard back from them and they need ID which I'm in lack of to move further. It will take forever before I can get an ID-card. Really annoying. My pieces on eBay are not doing too well... I'll probably bring them to Lauritz.com if they don't sell.
