Not much to say other than that I've just recently joined this forum as I am at a loss as to how to identify these really interesting scroll paintings. There seems to be some really great and knowledgeable minds active on this forum, so I figured I'd reach out and share my pieces. I don’t read Chinese or Japanese, but I’ve collected quite a few paintings. Authentication is tricky and generally can not be done via photos.
The flower painting his Japanese, the other two Chinese.
One of our members may be able to translate the writing.
In my opinion, I don’t see anything about the rendering that demonstrates being a high end work.
I would agree that the waterfall scene is a keeper, based on first impressions it is nicely done.

Thank you for the replies. I purchased them on a whim along with some other items at the estate sale, hoping I might chance upon a valuable artist or sought after era/style. It's just been very difficult to discern any useful information about the works, i.e. the artist, time period, etc. I have no idea how to do it due to the language and cultural barriers.
The waterfall painting has a poem or description and possibly a date and signature.
The other landscape has only a signature such as “Painted by a type of Mountain Man.”
If you really need more specifics on both landscapes, particularly that nice waterfall scene, I would start by locating a Chinese native speaker who may be able to translate the inscription. I think it may be worth pursuing.

Very much appreciated Mr Handel! I am curious to know if you - or anyone else on here - has had any experience/luck using BidAmount's identification helper, their $12 service featured here on there site?
I can recommend and have used the bidamount ID Service. You may receive an opinion as to the possible age but won’t receive the translations. For only $12 you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. But again, the key to the landscapes will be the translations. We have a few native speakers on the forum who may chime in with clues if you keep watching.

Update from my own quest to learn more about these: I hired a Chinese-to-English translator via Fiverr last night, asking if she could attempt to translate the landscape calligraphy for me. And she said that the calligraphy was too old/too difficult for her. Does this mean these paintings are quite old? I really don't anything about the difference between Chinese calligraphic writing and regular Chinese hand. But it seems based on this translator's reply that reading Chinese calligraphy has fallen out of fashion for most native Chinese today.
The difficulty may be the type of running hand script left by the artist plus there are many characters or expressions that aren’t in everyday use today. If the characters were printed block letters most people should recognize them. It could be a generational thing as well.
Totally agreed with George, running hand script by the artist plus no punctuation marks in Chinese poetry makes even harder. Here is what I got: the writing is about painting scenery- a place to stay while wind starts picking up, can see the trees and birds, after reading the book came downstairs late in a calming and relaxing environment. Written at "Dun Liang Shan Zhuang" -location, 石湘李立 (Shi Xiang Li Li)- artist.
Wow, very much appreciated insights! Understanding the poetry adds to the beauty of the work, very cool. I'd like to try and research the artist now and see if I can learn more about him, and possibly identify the time period the work was created in. Thanks again!
Was taking another look at the scroll this morning and found these two marks at the bottom of the painting. I'd never seen them before; one is a stamp. Could this be a possible date?
Red one is a seal, most likely artist' names, title or alias...., black one is the collector's or shop's name.
