Understanding Chinese Famille Rose porcelain from the 18th and 19th C. requires looking at and studying thousands of examples.
Famille Rose and the methods to create these colors were first discovered in Europe and were later introduced to Chinese porcelain decorators around 1717, during the last few years of the Kangxi Period (1662-1722).
To help get folks on their way with understanding these glorious colors on authentic examples, we’ve done a couple of videos explaining them. Below you’ll find all of the examples presented in the “Qing Famille Rose Enamels” video.
